The Olde English Tea Shoppe Cafe and Front Porch Primitives, located conveniently on Route 50 in Augusta, West Virginia welcome local residents and discerning travelers to experience fine taste in food and gifts. Donna Baker, Tea Shoppe hostess and Julie Masse, Primitives proprietor, have collaborated in creating a setting unique to Hampshire County.

Donna, a native of Nottinghamshire, England prepares and serves authentic English lunches and teas. On a given day one might feast on a meal of Shepherd's Pie or Cornish Pasties or choose to sample the quintessential English scone with jam and cream. The tables are set with beautiful linens and china -- just enough elegance against the backdrop of a country-style farmhouse to make every visit special, yet not the least bit pretentious.

Julie Bohrer is native of Bohrertown in Hampshire County. Front Porch Primitives features country decor and gift items to suit most tastes and budgets. Gift items include Goat's Milk soaps and lotions created locally by Chris Baker, locally-made candles, Bennington Pottery, Park Designs Curtains, assorted berry wreaths, and many other treasures.

Augusta is very fortunate to have its own little tea house, not only for people passing through, but for locals looking for a bit of indulgence without high prices or lengthy travel. This tea room is a gem for the community.
