My family has been to Tea Thyme several times and love to celebrate special times with a meal there. Although we have never celebrated the birthday of a young child we have been there during a birthday party and its really special. Their bread bowl with cheese soup is especially good.

I've eaten here many times, but yesterday the food looked like it had been dumped on the plate. The salad and dressing were both warm. Not a good experience!

This is the best tea room around. I drive 2 hours to get there. My red hat group has traveled to lots of tea rooms and this is the best.

I totally agree with Shirley. I always enjoy my visits to this tearoom. Food and service are both very good. The attached gift is also a wonderful place to shop or just to look.

Every time I have dined at the tearoom I have been very happy with the food, friendly service and the atmosphere. When I didn't have reservations they have always tried to accomodate me. I was appalled as I read the negative comments about this tearoom. The food portions are generous (how big is enough Cheryl?) There is always a variety to order, tea is served in beautiful cups and teapots, servers quick to refill and inquire if the food is OK. This is the only decent tearoom in this area. Why would anyone be so unhappy when it could be such a wonderful memory? One more thing I am grateful that that 'plain' single Mother chose to work! That comment was 'below the belt'. This tearoom is a 5 star.

The town raves that is this place to go for 'Lunch with the Girls'...after my first and last visit I have decided it should be the place to go for 'Lunch to Hurl'. The decor is lovely compared to the other eating establishments in town but that is where the positive ends and the negatives begin.

The menu items are all served in small portions and you would think the food would be nothing short of spectacular, sorry ladies and gentlemen the food lacked in flavor...think of eating food with a sinus infection. Nor was the food ready for a Kodak moment the presentation was as plain as the single mother who served our meal.

Not that I should know this much information regarding the wait staff but if you are craving town gossip this is the place to go. It was astonishing the things my dinner companions and I overheard during our 45 minute visit...from the restaurant staff! We were seated next to the manager and our waitress who were rolling silverware in-between waiting on customers and they were talking badly about customers who had just left and discussing more of their personal life as well as the personal lives of other people in town than we cared to know. For a moment we forgot we were in a restaurant and not a beauty salon.

I would usually give a restaurant a second chance but the impression I was given regarding the food, the staff and their false sense of customer service, I can not say that I will return.

All in all if you are looking for some place for lunch, do not care that your meal will not excite your taste buds and you are in need of a weekly dose of gossip, call the girls and head to Tea Thyme for 'Lunch to Hurl'...I mean 'Lunch with the Girls!'

False advertising. Sister Sadies boasted large portions and exceptional service. I was very disappointed on a recent visit to this tea room. Unfortunately for myself and fellow co-worker, I did get huge portions of gossip from the staff who were nearby clearing tables. In addition, the portions of food were so small and lacking in flavor that we stopped for food at a nearby conveniece store. This appears to be the place to go if you want small portions of flavorless food while catching up on the local town gossip.

What a wonderful addition to Fort Dodge. We had a wonderful meal, almost too big of portions. I almost didnt want to disturb the beautiful presentation of thew meal. Wonderful service, and a wonderful staff. Also what a beautiful dining room, with an awesome gift shop!!! Cant wait to come to Dodge again.
