I'm such a high tea fan, I've enjoyed it on 5 continents. Tea Lula ranks as one of the best I've enjoyed. Food is fresh and creative, beyond the normal fare. Sandwiches will have you craving more, scones are delicious but enhanced to outstanding with the homemade cream, jam and lemon curd.(so good!) Sweet treats are amazing. Tea selections fit perfectly and can also purchase wine or a festive nonalcoholic beverage to make the day extra special. Staff is incredibly welcoming, making you feel right at home and setting is cheerful and uplifting. I cannot wait to return. Just a wonderful spot.

Owner is discriminatory and racist. She also treats customers differently based on how much money she "thinks" they are going to spend when they walk in. She makes up that customers are only allowed to spend a certain amount of time at the bar/tables to drink/eat their purchase. Truthfully, you can stay as long as you like, but the owner lies to people about this when they don't fit her "image" of what customers in her shop should look like. She is anti-lgbtq+ and has been heard verbalizing her distaste for POC. Not a friendly or welcoming environment. Even if you are not bothered by her or other staff, it is likely that they will badmouth you when you leave, as they gossip constantly about people as soon as they walk out. There are much better tea shops in the area, don't waste your time here. I'm not the only one pointing this out in the reviews.

A relaxing and charming spot with a variety of delicious teas. Fun place to shop for unusual tea-related gifts as well.

I have been looking for years for a tea room that has that perfect environment that offers unique teas.

When you walk into Tea Lula it is very warm & inviting. You can sit in small tables near the front windows or sit at the tea bar.

It is a great place to go with a friend to select a tea & share a pot of tea. I never feel rushed to leave.

I love the variety of teas that align an entire wall. Some of my favorites are Mystic Moons (a blend of black & green teas with fruits added.) & Uva Granada. (sencha tea with pomegranite & grape added). I also love the jasmine teas.

It's wonderful to order a pot of tea & not have the loose tea sitting in the pot & steeping too long. The scones are fabulous. The tea room offers a nice variety of retail items that make wonderful gifts. Finally I found a place that I will always bring friends to and support.

The owner & staff are knowledgeable & friendly.

I have been to this tea shop many times and have always had an enjoyable experience. I have also given and received custom label teas which the owner and staff are happy to help you create. In reading the other reviews here it seems that one has been influenced by hearsay. I say try it and see for yourself. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I will admit that the selection and knowledge of everything tea in this shop is excellent but I will never feel comfortable sitting enjoying a pot of tea here again! In the beginning I found the owner to be engaging and welcoming, but as of late it is not the case. I was told through a friend that certain people are no longer welcome to sit and chat with friends althought there is no signage to the fact that the owners want to limit the time spent at the bar. These owners need to decide if this is a tea shop where people are welcome to savor their pot of tea and meet friends as regular customers or whether they want to be a tea store where you sample your tea and then purchase and go. I will not ever feel welcome to go here in the future and if you're thinking of becoming a regular, think twice.

The tea here really speaks volumes for the care that has gone into making TeaLula. If you have not developed the skills to listen to tea's subtle language, everyone there is more than willing/able to help you, if you are inclined to learn. If not, they offer free samples of all their tea so you can experiment and learn what you like for yourself. They offer 100 varieties (when last I checked) of white, green, rooibus, herbal, as well as different types of Oolong teas.

They sell little things like scones and shortbread for food, but the real focus is the tea. There are a variety of tea-accessories such as tea-spoons, mugs, kettles, trays, aprons, yixing and porcelain pots... Pretty much all things related to tea in and out of the kitchen!

Although quickly becoming a landmark in Park Ridge, I enjoy TeaLula for more personal reasons. I have rarely ever left without having learned something. This says a lot about the atmosphere- a detail oftentimes neglected in most major teashops. Sheila is always going above and beyond for anyone that walks through the doors. Even besides her, everyone else that works there is truly top-notch. I personally guarantee a great experience for any age after having seen elderly, tweens, parents and children alike all walk out with smiles and a big, 'Thank you,' from Sheila. It's worth a commute, I spend 25-30 minutes in a car on a regular basis for the experience only TeaLula has to offer!

TeaLula is worth your while! Great variety of choices and the team is extremely knowledgable. They even have a spot for younger tea lovers to have a little tea party - they even supply the hats! We enjoy it every time we go.

This is a darling little shop! What a discovery and find! It just opened in Park Ridge March 2007. They offer a hundred types of loose leaf tea. The staff is so helpful. They will brew you a 2 cup pot of your choice for a very minimal charge. My daughter and I enjoyed a cup in a very comfortable setting. I will definetly visit this shop again.
