A friend recommended Ten Ren, and I'm glad we decided to stop. The service is friendly, they have a well-stocked store, and the food and tea are great. It's definitely going on my list.

Ten Ren's has a great tea menu for both connoisseurs and amateurs. They have bubble teas as well as a nice selection of good quality hot teas. They're always willing to give free hot water refills. The food is not great, but it is filling and cheap and really, isn't the tea what you're there for?

WONDERFUL bubble tea, with a large variety of flavors. Also, an extensive collection of traditional tea. The food is great too- try the eel on rice! Also, the cutesy, Chinese pop music and the news all in Chinese add a lot of fun. Great for large or small parties, cozy, upscale college atmosphere (where the students go who don't like to be around drunk people!) Very authentic.

This place is great if you just want to buy some high end Chinese tea. They also sell bubble tea, but I have been there twice and it seems like more of a retail place than a place where you can order the tea for a sit down gong fu session. The people behind the counter have different levels of knowledge--and they have pushed the high grade (and very expensive) stuff on me with no other explanation as to why other than 'we drink a lot of tea in Taiwan, so we like to drink good tea'. Still, despite some minor flaws, the staff is nice and well-meaning and this is probably the only place where you can go and smell the tea you want to try before buying it. Worth a visit if you are in the area and can find it in the back corner of an obscure strip mall. They also sell teapots and the like--Chinese style (yixing and such).
