Very nice menu with quite tasty crepes. Their presentation for the afternoon tea servings featuring a tower for three plates is very fun. the selection of Teas is also nicely large with plenty of variety.

I love this place; Crepes + tea = perfection. They have a lot of great teas to choose from too.

The size of the scones! Oh my - crunchy outside, soft and doughy inside. Had the pumpkin one and was perfect in spice and flavor. The menu is huge with lots of variety and fresh selections DAILY. I also had the Apple Butternut Soup and loved it. It was flavorful, yet a soft filling blend.

Rated tea presentation as 'good' as this is no Victorian. Not a bad thing, just not that kind of place, that's all. And the preserve and cream were served in small plastic dishes.

Overall, highly recommend and I will seek every opportunity to return someday!

I stumbled across this lovely tea room/restaurant while visiting the area a couple of years ago. Since then,

I have returned with my two daughters, grandchildren, sister and friends on different occasions so they too could enjoy this unique eatery. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming - what you would expect from a tea room. The staff are courteous, efficient and upbeat, however, It is the variety of teas and delicious home baked scones/cakes that really keep me coming back for more. I can't say enough about the menu selection that includes sandwiches, crepes, wraps and homemade soups. You will not be disappointed!

What a find! We went here after a Skidmore graduation, after having discovered the spot while at Saratoga racetrack the previous summer. Both times we had a wonderful time. The afternoon tea is a treat, with copous choices of tea. My children enjoyed the Wee Tea, including pb&J and grapes. They also offer freshly prepared salads and sandwiches, etc. The woody interior is furnished with comfy upholstered chairs and there's a fireplace. You can't go wrong at The Whistling Kettle.

The Whistling Kettle was my first experience at a Tea room and it was wonderful. I went with 2 other girl-friends and it was all I hoped it would be. The food was delicious as was the tea and the service was excellent. We've been going for two years now and I'm looking forward to many more special lunches at the Whistling Kettle.

My two friends brought me to my first tea experience this past weekend and it was superb! The tea selection and sniffing bar was unreal! The food was perfect and displayed wonderfully on a tiered rack and all the food is made from fresh ingredients with fabulous combinations. The menu offers a great assortment and the place was packed with a wait and I know why... The Whistling Kettle has become my new place to go every visit back to the Glenville area. You should definately check this one out and the Coconut tea is to die for.

This is a wonderful spot, nearby to Saratoga. The interior is warm and cozy, with upholstered chairs, large tables, and a fireplace too.

The food is wonderful. My children enjoyed the 'Wee Tea', which included PB&J, grapes and cookies. I loved the sandwiches and scones, and the tea was fresh and hot.

The service was excellent both times I went, once when the place was semi-empty, and once during full rush hour. Browse the antique store on the street, then stop in for a wonderful tea break!

This is a wonderful cafe'. The food is excellent, The clientele are friendly and polite. The atmosphere is open, airy, and clean. The music is enjoyable, and not loud so you can enjoy good conversation. There are many wonderful selections of tea to choose from. There is a tea sniffing bar to help you choose what flavor tea you would like, and many beautiful tea pots available for sale. It's just a wonderful place to visit, and enjoy a meal or just tea. It is one of my favorite places to go for good food, and quiet conversation. Very relaxing. I love it! Check it out.

Wonderful atmosphere. Excellent tea sellection. This charming little cafe is great for a full meal or a quick snack. Great, fast service with fantastic food and a huge selection of tea (over 85 blends). They've got a great wall full of goodies that you can take home with you. I'd come here everyday if I could!

The Whistling Kettle is a gem. It is located on a quaint street with fun shops and a lovely little park for a summer sit. There is outdoor seating which is great during the warmer months. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, especially in the winter. The teas are absolutely fantastic-my recommendation would definitely be the Earl Grey Cream.

The scones are to die for-cinnamon chip is the best and the cream and jam spread is so yummy. All of the food is amazing. You'll want to try everything!

A great feature is that you can smell any of the teas which are displayed in cute little jars.

The service is excellent-it can be a bit slow when they are busy, but that is part of the experience. Tea time is supposed to be relaxing and certainly not a rush job.

This place is a must for anyone! It is comfortable for guy or girl, young or old.

As for the quality of the tea, we have recently moved across country and I am still going to order my tea from the Whistling Kettle despite there being plenty of tea rooms where I now live.

The concept is wonderful. I wanted to like this place, but the waiters lack the experience that a place like this could thrive on.They don't seem to know much about what they're serving nor do they seem to care if you are pleased.

I am not a tea connoiseur by any means, but I am so pleased to find such a gem in Ballston Spa. I stopped in for a hot beverage to go (and to use the bathroom) and found such a wonderfully quaint, appealing atmosphere that I cannot wait to tell everyone I know about it! I am trying to make up reasons to go to Ballston Spa again just to visit the Whistling Kettle.

Not a true 'tea house' in the sense of what I'm used to. More like 'Sandwich Shop Plus'. Impressive selection of tea, but served in clear glass cups, not china. Sandwiches were good, but served on clear glass plates, not china. Has the feel of a lounge, with the modern decore and the jazz music playing -- very casual. They did a nice job renovating the space, its just not in the classic tea house motif.

The Whistling Kettle is a great place for a casual tea and scone or or high tea anytime. Among the most impressive selection of fine loose teas I've seen anywhere. Newly remodeled with the ambiance of towering ceilings, fireplace and periodic evening and afternoon jazz performances. Definitely worth a visit whether from the Albany/Saratoga region or passing through.
