Victorian Grace
The atmosphere of elegance, beauty, and soothing tranquility that immedately surrounds you as you step into the Victorian Grace Tea Room is enough to keep you coming back again and again. Complete relaxation and peace takes over as you are seated. A Warm welcome and pleasant conversation with the host and Tea Room personnel then begins the whole experience... followed by a short period of great expectancy of what is to come. At this point, you are hoping beyond hope that the food is not downright awful and the atmosphere and warm and friendly welcome is not just to make up for what will be sadly lacking in the food. Then the tea arrives. It is served in the finest of China, by the gentlest of hands... and best of all, it is unlimited. Next comes the soup. Totally unexpected at tea time (for me) and marvellously delicious. Extremely Tasty and smooth. Finally, the grand finale..a three tiered server carrying the most mouth watering scones, sandwiches, and mini desserts all home made and fresh from the oven so to speak. You delve in, savoring each bite, trying desperatly to keep your mind on what the person next to you at your table is saying, and not wanting to appear an insatiable glutton....but the food is sooooo goood that you soon give up and give in to the eating. There is no rush. Plenty of time for conversation after. All in all, it exceeded my expectations in every aspect...ambiance, service, attitude, and food. I have visited to the Victorian Grace Tea Room each time I visited Tampa, since I reside in New York. I plan to go as many times as the opportunity arises in the future. It is a must for all, you do not want to miss this.....I highly recommend it for everyone for all occasions. It is not just Tea. It is an experience.
