Sundial Gardens and Tea Room
A small but interesting selection of teas, instructive preparation, and kindly people BUT this is NOT what I would call a tea room. It is a retail store that occassionaly prepares tea and very disappointing as a destination.

No, we are not a tea room as such, but a TEA SHOP which on occasion serves afternoon tea by reservation on selected dates throughout the year (such as Mothers Day, etc). We specialize in fine, rare loose teas and tea accoutrements, and selected gift items. Our main reason for being is first of all, the Gardens, which were founded here 30 years ago (this year marks our 30th anniversary and we plan to have a special event in July 2006). The gardens are all formal and based on historical designs and patterns. They are been featured in many publications including National Geographics Guide to the Best Public Gardens In US, also recently featured on HGTV. Perhaps the person who responded that she was disappointed may have come at a time when the gardens were not open (in winter or early spring), but we do hope she will not give up on us and come back again.
