The Royal Tea Room & Restaurant
My friend and I discovered The Roayal Tea Room in an effort to find a 'halfway point' to meet (she lives in California, MD, I live in Bethesda). What a lovely little gem we discovered in La Plata! We had an incredibly yummy lunch (the chicken salad is divine, and my friend ordered the bread pudding which was to die for--but everything is amazing!) The owner came out to greet us personally when she heard we were first timers. We will definitely be back soon (perhaps for a full tea experience). My only disappointment was that I wish the little shop had a larger tea selection and some more little tea things. Give yourself a treat and take yourself to tea!
