The English Rose Tea Room and Gifts
This tea room is BY FAR the best we have been to outside of England. I took my best friend of 25 years here for her birthday after reading all the wonderful reviews. First off, we were greeted by our lovely and friendly server, Maria. She poured us ice water infused with lemon and oranges. YUM!!! Who knew water could taste so delightful. We were then offered a sample of their featured tea: Today's blend with Snickerdoodle, a mixture of cinnamon and french vanilla. While enjoying this first cup of tea we were given a delicious ginger snap cookie. What a great way to start off the celebration! With the help of our knowledgeable server, we ordered the Queen's Tea with their signature 'English Rose Tea.' It was an aromatic blend of Chinese Black Tea, Essential Rose Oil and even real rose petals!! Before the food arrived, we were treated with warm lavender scented hand towel to prepare us for the delectable finger foods ahead. The food included everything from traditional tea sandwiches to fresh fruit and freshly baked warm scones. Their homemade lemon curd was heavenly! :) Before we knew it, 2 hours had passed and we were chatting with the owner, Lisa. What a lovely woman! To top it all off they brought my friend an adorable dessert topped with a lit candle with her name written in pink edible icing while the entire tea room sung 'Happy Birthday' (on key). What a perfect way to celebrate my best friends birthday!
