I would have liked to have written a real review, but never got seated. The outer area was chaos. A few pieces of overpriced pastry were sitting around for sale. The staff seemed to have no idea what was going on. We then hoped we could just buy a loaf of bread and leave, but it was clear that even that was never going to happen. The staff exuded arrogance rather than a desire to serve. We will not try again.

Hello Janet - I am the owner of The Blue Rooster & read your review with great dismay. I will use it as a training tool in next week's staff meeting & I wonder if you would be so kind as to let me know the time of day when this occurred. No excuses, I do wonder how you determine that our pastry is overpriced however since it sells well and is highly acclaimed by many. We do have 1 particular 'period of chaos' Mon - Fri from 3'ish to 3:30'ish when the local school lets out and many students decend for the after school treat. We typically have 2-3 workers in the retail area for this period to move things along.
The BR is a multifaceted shop and based on the last 2-3 months feedback, we have overcome issues with staff knowledge & level of customer service.
Clearly we have work to do to make that a 100% success.
I would take it as a great favor if you would be willing to call me to expand upon your brief time inside The BR. Thank you for making me aware of your unhappy interaction.
