We traveled over 2 hrs to experience this tea room. I love the tea experience and have been to many venues, I had high expectations after reading the reviews and I was not dissapointed. I treated my new daughter in law, her mother and my visiting mother from out of state. we had the lovliest time and thoroughly enjoyed our hosts, Ken & Jen, wonderful people who really know how to make you feel welcome & special, and their selection of tea is phenomenal! what an experience, I will be back with other special friends, 2 hr drive or not! it was superb.

I took my Mother and handicapped Brother here, on their visit down from Idaho. Barbara's is not handicap accessible by standards, however, she and her husband helped us up and down the stairs in his wheelchair and we managed the restrooms just fine.Barbara and her husband were most accommodating. I was slightly put off that our salads, fruit and sandwiches were at the table and ready for us when we arrived. However, she had explained when I called in for reservations that they were extremely busy for that Thursday, and really, everything tasted good, not stale or as if it had sat out long. The teas we chose were absolutely delicious, a Strawberry Coconut and Blueberry Cream and the Scones were the best I've ever tasted, not dry like most. The atmosphere was beautiful with much to look at and enjoy. The background music was soothing and relaxing. They even had a small gift and sang Happy Birthday to my Brother. Barbara is a wonderful woman, one of those souls that just shines and makes everyone comfortable and welcome around her. We had a most enjoyable experience and made a wonderful memory at Barbara's Victorian Tea House. I am already lining up another occasion so that I may visit here again.
