Belladonna Gift Boutique and Tea Room
We saw that Belladonna was rated #1 on this site so we drove for 2 hours to visit. We were not disappointed. The walk up to the front entrance has teapots in the cement. The brick work in the yard invites you to tea, and the inscription in the cement entrance is such a surprise. AND, we haven't even entered the door yet. Once inside, the atmosphere is so enchanting that we squealed with delight. You can spend hours in this enchanting boutique discovering all kinds of treasures to purchase. Everywhere you look there are unique designs, jewelry, china, scarves, frames, purses, and everythinng I needed for my tea party. Then we entered the charming tea room. All decorated for Christmas, with instrumental music whispering the outside world away. Belladonna offers so many choices of tea it took Donna's suggestion of Creme Brulee and Peach Brandy to finally help us decide. The scones were certainly the best we have ever had, as was the corn chowder soup. Our desserts had to be wrapped to go we were so satisfied. And we mean 'wrapped', Donna even put a big bow on our box. The attention to detail in every aspect of our visit will long be remembered. Donna, thank you for the most enjoyable tea and precious memories with my mother.
