This was my first outing for tea in California, and I assumed high tea service would be the menu, so I think I was a bit disappointed with an entree and some extras. The tea was lovely, except we weren't offered a warm-up, so I didn't feel like I was really out for afternoon tea, it felt like a quaint lunch. The offerings were four types of teas, mostly herbal, and two entrees to choose from, a quiche and a ceasar salad. The salad which I decided on was a very generous portion, and scrumptious. The delicate sandwiches served to the side left something to be desired, as well as the devon creme and jam mini english muffins, which hadn't flavor nor flair. The lovely victorian house and garden were lovely atmosphere, except the two-tabled sitting room was a bit strange, although cozy. I would perhaps try again, and speak up for a warm up (but I would hope for more delicious tarts and desserts).
