The St. Louis Tea Room
So I grew up in this area and I was driving around the old neighborhood when I came apon the tea room. So I decided to stop in and see. I was greeted at the door by and very nice hospitalble woman who I later learned was the owner. I was sat promptly at one of the cute little tables. Soon I was approached by a very cute waitress named Amanda who suggested a wonderful Cherry Almond tea which I enjoyed very much. She then brought me some wonderful warm scones with all the fixins you would need to really enjoy the scones fully. Yummy. I then asked Amanda what she would suggest for my lunch and told her to suprise me she smiled and told me I would not be dissapointed. About 10 minutes later I was served a beautifuly presented plate of Chicken salad with a small house salad on the side. It was so pretty I almost didn't want to mess it up. I was hungry so I did. The chicken salad was wonderful and the house dressing for the salad was delicious. I finished my lunch and another glass of tea then proceded to the gift shop where I found some scented homemade votives. All in all I was very impressed and greatly enjoyed my visit to the tea room and I will definetly be returning often.
