Crumpet's Tea Room
I visited crumpets on Mothers Day this year with 4 other Women. When we were asked how the food was, we said that the chicken was a bit dry. We didn't say, but we also thought the 'twice baked potatoe' was a frozen then heated kind which was terrible. While this is the 3rd year attending on Mothers Day, I must say we were very dissappointed in the service. As we were drinking tea and exchanging gifts after brunch, the owner came to our table and loudly said, 'I'm sorry you were dissappointed with the food, but 40 other people disagree!' And then she walked away!!! We were all stunned to say the least. She was very rude and snippy and spoke loud enough so the other customers could hear. We were stared at and talked about until we finally decided to leave. I think that a professional resturaunt owner and polite person would have offered us something else or appologized and asked what they could have done better. I will say that I will not be returning until there ia a new owner.
