Teddy Bears & Tea Cups
This charming children's boutique on Balboa Island houses one of Orange County's best kept secrets ... a beautifully appointed tea room in the back of the shop! We had a wonderful afternoon tea complete with delicious sandwiches, fresh fruit, and delectable scones warm from the oven, topped with homemade devonshire cream and jam. The desserts were quite generous as were the children's portions (too much for my girls to finish). The selection of teas was also quite remarkable. I felt the shop owner and servers were well versed in the 'art of tea'. They were attentive, pleasant, and even provided live entertainment. As many of the tea rooms in OC have closed in recent years, this delightful tea room definitely fills the void. Having taken tea throughout the United States, I felt this was one of the best ever and will plan a return visit soon.
