Linde Lane Tearoom
I was so shocked when I heard a beautiful tearoom opened in Dixon! I am a resident of Dixon and I am proud to know the most beautiful tearoom I had ever seen is HERE. My Mother and I love to travel to enjoy and experience the many ways tearooms service their customers with beautiful decorations, wonderful food and special teas. I have to say, I was disappointed with the food. I feel it was just average. We ordered the 'Royal Tea' and I was surprised vegetable soup was served, the salad was just greens with a vinaigrette. The sandwiches were just ok. I felt as if, I made it at home with lunchmeat, and bread with crust. (Perhaps with the reason for not waisting the crust, you should cut it off and make croutons with it.) I miss the traditional beautiful and delicious petafores after you finish your tea with your meal that are not served here. One of my favorite tearooms is in San Francisco and is called Love Joy's. They start you off with your choice of a bottomless pot of tea, and we order the Queen's Tea. It comes with salad, coleslaw, crumpets, scones, clotted cream, lemon curd and a homemade jam, a shortbread cookie, and fresh mixed fruit. It is finished with a pedafore. My Mom mentioned she felt rushed with our server. I am going to give it another try, because I want them to be a success. I hope you take some of my suggestions to heart. Your tearoom is so beautiful! <3
