The Royal Tea Room & Restaurant
It is always a treat when my husband or daughters take me to the Royal Tea Room. This past Mother's Day was no exception. The atmosphere, wonderful tea and food, and the friendliness of the servers was exceptional. The 3pm tea on Sunday did get started a little late, but it was clear the staff was busily preparing the rooms for our arrival and the wait was well worth it. I loved the Passion Mango Tea and the crab soup was terrific, as usual. The scones were to die for and I thought the selection of the savories and desserts was super. I think the three young ladies who served at the tea were great. They seated about 10 tables at the same time and before you knew it, we were all drinking tea and munching on a fruit plate that was really too pretty to eat. The servers all helped each other and were very polite and gracious. At one point or other during the tea, each one had visited our table, brought something, or inquired if we needed anything. At the end, the owner even visited our table. To me, that says a lot about the quality of the tea room. Not only will I go there again, I will recommend it to all my friends!!
