Bloomsbury Tea Room
We have been fortunate enough to have tea at a number of tea rooms both in and out of the country (including England and Canada), and we have to say that Bloomsbury Tea Room is an absolute gem. Of course, having it close by is very nice, but that's not what makes it such a great place. The food is freshly made and tastes every inch of it. The tea sandwiches aren't just plain ol' sandwiches, they usually have a little zing to them (like adding a little celery to a shrimp salad sandwich for a bit of crunch). The scones are always house made and warm. The sandwiches and scones are enough that sometimes it's hard to get to the desserts - but there's always room for that! Add in a great tea selection of over a couple dozen teas, a triple tray to serve it on and some of the nicest wait staff/owners, and you've got a real treat. If you haven't been there - do yourself (and your taste buds) a favor and get on over to Bloomsbury Tea in Capitola CA. Be sure and call ahead for reservations so you won't be disappointed!
