The Potted Geranium
A surprise lunch for my wife on our anniversary during our stay nearby at the Ritz Carlton, Reynolds Plantation. The experience was so enjoyable and the food and service was very excellent. The interior of the home was complete in every detail. My first visit to a tea room however my wife has visited many in the Franklin/Nashville, Tennessee area and she said she had never had this kind of experience nor seen such attention to detial both in the food and tea presentation and the interior of the home. I am a real nut about detail when it comes to construction and caring for a home and I have to say I was more than impressed. Pride of ownerhsip was evident everywhere. The food is all prepared inhouse and only high end teas are served. I am not a hot tea drinker however I ordered the Apricot Tea (a tea selection is included with the meal) and I almost drank the whole pot. My wife and I ordered the Chicken Salad on Mini Crosiant's. I had a Garden Salad with mine, she had a cup of Cream of Mushroom soup. We enjoyed every bite. I would highly recommend 'The Potted Geranium' and I highly recommend taking a tour of the home before you leave. It is just beautiful. Definately a work of love and pride of ownership. Oh, and my wife is telling all her friends about how happy she was and surprised I reserved lunch for us at this tea room and she plans to go back (about 3.5 hrs from our home in Alabama) with her two sisters on a little get away trip together. Just don't tell my hunting buddies I was there and really enjoyed a tea room! lol
