My Red Hat group had a tea here in March. We previously had visited the August tea Room in Livermore in January, so had a point of comparison. The decor here is sorely lacking, using plain white coffee cups & saucers. They could do with a bit of Victorian flavor, some nice china, silver and a bit more decor. They did decorate our table with purple & red napkins in deference to our being a Red Hat group. The food was superb and plentiful, and the chicken with grapes sandwich to die for. All of us noticed our teapots leaked somewhat when tea was poured. Don't know what caused that. Service was good and the people were very friendly. The tea selection was very limited and if you are a tea drinker, you may be disappointed. I think they have the makings of a great tea room. They just need a little more attention to decor and detail, but the food can't be beat and the price is much lower than other tea rooms. I'm sure we'll be back, just to see how they progress, but especially for the food.
