English Rose Tea Room
This tea room was a pure joy. You sit at your own wonderfully decorated table set with Royal Albert wares (Old Country Rose...my Favorite!). The host/hostesses are all British which makes the experience even better. My husband and I had the Afternoon Tea which consisted of a raisin scone, cream, six finger sandwiches, a couple of jams, an assortment of biscuits (cookies for Americans) and a lovely pot of tea. As you eat and enjoy the complany of your companinion, you can't help but look around. A painting of the Queen hangs to one side of the room while the stairs are lined with a variety tea pots, cups and saucers (you can buy them!). Lace hangs in the windows as well as from the tables. I can't brag enough about this place. If you love tea, tea pots or just need a place to relax from the normal everyday grind, give this place a try. You won't be disapointed.
