• Clipper Merchant Tea House

  02/23/2008 Saturday In days prior to going to “The Clipper Merchant Tea House” the very least that we expected was a pleasant dining experience, as you will soon find, what we did experience, would be impossible to write in one sentence. In our world such as it is, with all the demands of our thought, time energy, and finances, it is such a rare treasure to have a moment to one’s self for peace, respite, and the preciousness of being able to take time to truly get to know the people dearest to you. Incredibly on our tiny blue planet there is such a place where one can experience such delights to ones sensibilities. The place I speak of is “The Clipper Merchant Tea House”. A group of women from Nute Ridge Bible Chapel Women’s Ministry had the distinct pleasure of being there for a Tea Luncheon. One can scarce remember being in such a place, that the pleasure and treasure were the Victorian ambience of the establishment, the kindness and graciousness of the staff, as well as the precious companionship of 5 other women. I cannot say enough how this day will remain a treasure for us, for a long long, while. We cannot wait until we can be there once again. The kind and gracious service of this establishment and staff made one feel so happy and exceptionally special. The lavender ice tea, Darjeeling tea, Chai tea, tea sandwiches, the Cheese Vegetable Quiche, Chicken Salad Croissant, and Raspberry Cheese Cake, Chocolate lava Cake were tasty and wonderful onto its own!!! This incredible place is where one can experience a wonderful Ladies Tea, a delightful Tea Birthday party for little girls, or an intimate dining experience with your special loved one. One is NEVER put in a situation where you need to hurry to place your order for food, and hurry to get out. They will even brew coffee for you, if you so desire. This is a place where one can truly experience moments of peace, tranquility, the specialness of life, and specialness of being. If you are in need of the pleasure and treasure where the ambience of the Victorian establishment, and the kindness and graciousness of the staff, makes one feel so happy and exceptionally special then I highly recommend finding the time on a Friday or Saturday between the hours of 11am and 4pm to be there. I also recommend that if you have a group of 6 or more that you call ahead and make reservations. Thank You “Clipper Merchant Tea House” for gifting us with such a special time.
