My husband and I stopped by the tea room one Saturday afternoon after running errands around town. We were wearing jeans. We had never been in before, but love to shop for antiques, so we gave it a try. We weren't sure they would let us in dressed the way we were, but figured we could look at the antiques anyway. When we came back from looking around upstairs, which has beautiful antiques , we were greeted by the owner. She was so friendly and asked if we would like to have a table. We decided to try it out, I must say I was concerned we were going to feel out of place in our attire. The whole staff was very nice. There was a party going on and no one even noticed us. I wish we had of been placed in a room other than where the party was taking place, because it was a little loud, but the guests were having so much fun, you could tell it was an experience of a life time. We had tea and dessert. It was delicious. I thought the cost of the desserts were a little high, but after eating, it was worth the price. We had a fun hour and 1/2, we got to pick our own tea cups, and look at all the hard work that had been put into fixing up the place. After we were done, we purchased an antique tea pot and talked with the owner. She gave us the history of the home and told us about all the work put into it. We were very pleased with our visit and plan to go back again soon. I am so glad to see such a nice place in a town that hasn't seen much more than fast food since I was just a kid myself.
