Power's Mansion Tea Time
This review is for Tea Time at Power's Mansion. I live in Southern California and planned a bridal shower for my sister at Tea Time to be honest I don't have enough time or text to explain how pleased the guests and I were. The Owners: Dena and Chris Both went above and beyond to help me plan this event for my sister; since I was unable to go in person to see the venue or meet with them they graciously answered multiple rounds of emails, sent pictures and stayed in contact with me to ensure all of my questions were answered. Our theme was 'vintage baseball' and Chris brought in her sons MLB attire to help decorate which was so unexpected and appreciated and added touch that my sister will continue to rave about for years to come. It was these added touches that were seen throughout the parlor and luncheon that will have me returning to Tea Time every time I am in town and recommending to whomever will listen!! The Food/Tea Were equally fresh and flavorful. Without a doubt exceed my expectations (are you noticing a reoccurring theme here :-) A few comments from our Guest and The Bride-to-be 'I generally don't like peas but I loved them in this salad', '...the tomatoes tasted like they were picked this morning' and ' this tea has changed the way they think about tea', the list really could go on and on. The Scones Were so good they deserved a review all their own. We had the White Chocolate Raspberry Scones which were served warm out of the oven, it was obvious the ingredients were fresh and for those in search of a traditional scone, your search is over. Should they ever decide to start a mail order business I would be among one of their first customers. The Venue Tea Time is situated inside of Power's Mansion, beautifully decorated with what I would describe as 'understated elegance'. When I was searching for other Tea Parlors in the area I didn't get the sense that any could offer personal touches offered by Chirs and Dena, the sense of class and refinement and a high quality of food and tea like Tea Time would. It's was very obvious from the first time I spoke with Dena that both Chris and Dena love what they do and it showed in every inch of the parlor, every sip of the tea and bite of food. The next time you are looking to treat your self to an afternoon tea planning a large or small event give Tea Time a try you or your guest will not be disappointed!!
