Hodgepodge Gifts and Tearoom
We were recently visiting family in your town and our hosts treated us to tea in your establishment. Being from Toronto, my expectations of a truly British tea being offered in such a small town were low. Well, we were pleasantly surprised. Not only were the teas of a very nice quality, and served in beautiful china, our food was superb. The sandwiches were so tasty and varied. We couldn't finish them all and were graciously offered a take-home container for them. Perhaps the best part of the experience, apart from our knowledgeable server, was the delicious pastries. The scone rivals those I've had in some fine tea houses and European pastry shoppes. We were also allowed to bring home those desserts we didn't finish. All in all, a perfectly lovely experience in an equally lovely tea parlour.
