Camellia's Sin Tea Parlor and Gift Shop
Having lived in Carlisle for many years, I have had the good fortunate of living close enough to frequent this place several times a year. At first it was a wonderful experience, waitstaff was wonderfully polite, welcoming and attentive . The food was delicious and your tea pot was NEVER empty! Over the past few years it has been increasingly frustrating experience to the point of me not ever returning. I agree with the other more recent reviews that the owner is miserably rude, even when you simply call to make a reservation. My best advice... avoid the event teas at all cost! I was there for the Tarot Tea in November of 2016 and then had my daughter in for the Mrs. Clause Tea in December of 2016 and the place was so packed you couldn't even move (very poor planning)! Then the last straw was in November of 2017, I was in with a girlfriend to celebrate my birthday and we sat for almost 30 minute before our presence was even acknowledged, our tea pot sat empty the majority of the time we were there and we were being trampled by other rude guests trying to take group "selfies" while the staff just sat back and watched. Its a shame this place has gone down hill because it really was one of my favorite tea houses in the area.
