Silver Spoon Tea House
Hello Friends, My experience at The Silver Spoon Tea House was and still is (as this Wednesday will be my 13th time taking another special friend) absolutely wonderful! Sylvia and Laura have held true to their sign – 'Arrive as uests * leave as friends'. I can’t tell you how personable they have been to me and to my guests. Seems like every friend I bring, Sylvia and Laura find something in common with them. I love the conversations we have with them and I love always receiving a warm welcome and a fond adieu. Now to the tea. My goodness! I have gone to many teas in my time, however, the afternoon teas at Silver Spoon is the best I have ever enjoyed. I always order the Marie Antoinette Tea. So many courses and almost each time there is something different than the last. Different flavored scones warm out of the oven, your choice of, I think, 30 teas to choose from, either a salad or soup, depending on the season, chicken crepe (yum), and then the three tier tray full of miniature tea sandwiches, pastries & fruit. And a slice of delicious cream cheese cake or carrot cake or whatever their baker has for that day. You can dress up or come casual. The house is beautifully decorated and each room is different. Love browsing around and I always buy one of their unique displayed gifts when I leave as they are not something you find just anywhere. I could go on and one but the main point is that this tea house is magical to me and they always make you feel special and like you’ve been friends for a long time. Also, they have special events all the time and theme teas and they will do their best to fit you in even on late notice if possible. Very accommodating in everyway possible. They can get busy, however, of all the times I have been, The Silver Spoon Tea House is never a rushed experience and it gives my friend(s) and I time to enjoy quality time together in such a lovely atmosphere. I don’t know how they do it all but I love their spirit and their knowledge of teas and stories of their world travels. Other family members are involved from time to time and they are all so very talented and very polite. A loyal and happy guest and friend. Cj Krempels <3 Will see you again soon!
