Variety:
My partner and I came to visit Hopsewee Plantation, and were greeted by the wonderful aromas wafting through the air from the tea room. |

Variety: I had taken the tour of Hopsewee during the Plantation Tours in March, but had never stopped for any tea or luncheon. I must say that you have to add this on your list of things to do - the tour was excellent with a wonderful and informative guide, and then we extended our visit with a relaxing and wonderful lunch in the tea room. My friend visiting from MA had a quiche that she said was the best meal that she had on her seven day visit. I had a sampler of soups and salad that were especially nice. When asked if we wanted dessert, we said, 'Yes, all of them!' The owner was so gracious and gave us a sampling of 6-7 desserts - ALL unusual and great tasting. This is a place to come to with your friends and visitors. I know I will be back. |

Variety: I found Hopsewee on-line, visiting the Myrtle Beach area for the first time and wanting to take a good friend (also a visitor) out for her birthday. It could NOT have been a better time: we were there for hours, never felt pressured and, in fact, our host brought us extra teas (different flavors - I loved the green tea with jasmine (and I'm not a green tea advocate). I will definitely be back! |

Variety: We have found a gem to add to our 'must visit' list when guests arrive! The setting is magical with grand views from the dining room. The food from savories to salads and sweets offer a variety of superbly prepared meals. The Earl Gray Bergamot tea is worth the vist! Thanks to Raejean for your hospitality. |

Variety:
I visited Hopsewee for the house tour, not actually knowing there was a tea room on site. We had an excellent time - the tea was great, food was very good, and the host was wonderful. We had a very nice chat with her about the region as we took in the beautiful scenery outside. |

Variety: We were a group of twenty one men and women who visited Hopsewee in early April 2011. We toured the Plantation House which was fascinating with the guidance of an enthusiastic docent!! Then we strolled across the grounds with beautiful gardens to the River Cottage which is the tea room. The room is elegant with a true low country atmosphere with views of ancient oaks, spanish moss and the river. Our group was divided into tables of seven each set with fine linen and English china. We sipped five different types of tea and swooned over each. Every tray of savories or sweets offered more drama. It was truly a delightful afternoon with a very authentic high tea experience. This is a place that shouldn't be missed!! |
