Variety: Six loose leaf teas were served to our party at tables covered in lovely white linens and set with English china. The Earl Grey Cream Tea was a delightful change from regular Earl Grey; my other favorite was the Jasmine with Flowers Green Tea. The cucumber sandwiches and scones complete with lemon curd and cottage cream were special favorites. The peaceful setting and beautiful view completed the tea experience. I plan to come again! |

Variety: The tearoom at Hopsewee Plantation is a calm, quiet room with lovely views of the historic Plantation and the river. The variety of 8 different decaf teas appealed to me and I enjoyed both hot and cold tea on my two visits to Hopsewee. Hopsewee-created jellies made with the teas are a special, delicious treat. I purchased the Blackberry Jelly to enjoy at home. The savories were wonderful on each visit. We particularly enjoyed the chicken salad on homemade ginger snaps and the tomato pie. The scones are freshly baked and perfect for the clotted cream, lemon, strawberry and homemade jelly. I will continue to take guests to Hopsewee Plantation for the lovely combination of a SC Plantation home with a very informative one hour tour followed by an enjoyable, refreshing tea! |

Variety: I have been to high tea in several places and nowhere has the food been as good as Hopsewee. Many of the food offerings are unique(spinach and blue cheese quiche, curried chicken on ginger crisps, earl grey tea jelly) and all are delicious. Neither of the five star establishments at which I've had tea offered food that was any better than that I had today. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing and the hostess is pleasant and accomodating. I can't reccomend this tea room highly enough; #1 in S.C. in my book. |

Variety: This tea was an absolutely charming experience. Raejean, our hostess and baker extraordinaire, was so welcoming and generous with her knowledge of teas and Hopsewee that we can't wait to return. The teas, savories, scones and sweets were homemade, with unique presentations and flavors. You can't miss this tea. You'll love every minute!!! |

Variety: A friend and I went to visit and tour the Hopsewee Plantation on June 4th. The plantation tour was so interesting and we really enjoyed the tea afterward. The Beatties are to be applauded for preserving the history of this lovely place and then making everyone's visit even better by serving this lovely tea. Everything was delicious from the little sandwiches to the scones and then the lovely desserts. Thank you so much for a memorable day. |

Variety: My husband and I toured the Hopsewee Plantation home on May 22 and then he 'agreed' to go to tea with me. This was his first tea experience and he wasn't too sure he would enjoy it, but the women who waited on us made him feel very comfortable and he enjoyed the tea, as well as the wonderful food served. He especially enjoyed the gingerbread wafers with curried chicken salad and toasted coconut. I enjoy going to tea wherever I visit and my daughter and I have given teas for friends, for a fund raiser and also for a neighborhood group. We have experienced many tea recipes, but the gingerbread wafers were new to me and very delicious. I will definitely go again if I return to the area. Another note -the service was great, even though they were preparing for a large wedding reception the next day. |

Variety: A new tearoom on an old rice plantation. Lovely setting, beautiful scenery by the river, a lovely old home to tour. And then sit and enjoy tea. Our group had a wonderful time, the food was delicious and a nice variety served by a very gracious lady. You should not miss this tearoom. We will certainly return on our next visit. |

Variety: If you live or visit the Myrtle Beach or Georgetown, South Carolina area, Hopsewee Plantation and Tea Room is a place you should not miss! I was fortunate to tour the beautiful plantation home and attend tea there in April. Loved it! The owner, Raejean Beattie was a gracious hostess, serving tea in a beautifully restored barn. She even entertained us by playing the dulcimer. There were six ladies in our group and we really enjoyed the creative menu selections. Best of luck to Hopsewee for continued tea time success!! |

Variety: On a recent visit to Myrtle Beach, some friends and I discovered an ad for this new tea room and decided to try it, along with the tour of the Historic Hopsewee home. I am so very glad we did. The owner, Raejean, was such a gracious and delightful hostess. And the food - absolutley a fabulous! I have been to about 100 tearooms so it is difficult to come up with something new for me, but Reajean succeeded. She even accommodated my allergy to tree nuts. I strongly urge you to try this place. You will find hospitality, history, and delicious food, all in one stop! |
