We were very disappointed in this establishment. We have been to many tea houses, in the states and abroad and were stunned to have TEA BAGS served to us. The cost of the tea was not cheap and my husband who knows his tea was very upset at the 'dusty' flavor of his Earl Grey tea. The food was average, he ordered the larger tea, and it was to include a large salad, he was served a tiny salad and ity bity bowl of soup instead. The lemon bars were horrible.
The facility is charming, but please invest in some high quality teas.

As I do every year, I chose Tea Era's as the place to spend my birthday. The new location is beautiful and is decorated as beautifully as ever. The ladies who own this tea room are the most gracious I've ever met and even The Fairmont Empress in Victoria was not as enjoyable as having tea here. Absolutely delightful - it's the best birthday gift every year!

My tea friends and I have been going to Tea Eras for years. I can't say enough good things about the wonderful ladies that own and run this tea room. Their location has moved within Sutter Creek a couple of times but that doesn't matter, it just keeps getting better and better. They are so accomodating to any request. New location is so relaxing and as always, the food is wonderful.

The new location is beautiful. Cannot say enough good remarks about this Tea Eras Tea Room. Recently visited three different times with friends and family. The food - the service - the ambiance. One of our favorites. We will return and recommend this tea room to others.

They won't let you share the full service tea which is a lot of food for one person and is $16.95 (which is a reasonable price). They offer 'clotted cream' on their menu with scones and jam but the 'clotted cream' is merely creme fraiche and whipped cream. As a person who loves clotted cream and has been to England several times and indulged in the stuff - I find the inclusion of a fake clotted cream rather damming.

My three tea friends and I had tea at Tea Eras Tea Room recently and had a marvelous time! The gift shops upstairs are filled with lovely, unique tea, clothing, and unusual lady's assessories. The ambiance in the tea rooms downstairs is just incredible - particularly when you learn it is a historic sea captain's home complete with a compass painted on the original wooden floor! We had wonderful pistashio fruit salad, yummy soup and great teas served with warm scones and freshly made sandwiches, followed by dainty desserts! The rooms are well decorated in lavish and unusual period pieces. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Tea Eras is a real gem well worth the drive to Sutter Creek!
