My friend and I were at this location just a few days ago. We were lucky to be seated, as the tea service is essentially by reservation only (the kitchens will make a few extra servings but not many). The atmosphere in the dining area is quite lovely, as is the decor throughout the entire hotel. Our server kindly explained how the tea is served (everything is predetermined, you just choose your teas) and gave us suggestions as to which teas to select. The tea service was brought quickly and our server poured our first cups for us. Our water was regularly refilled by various members of the serving staff. The food was good, but not what I would call 'excellent.' The scones were nice, but a little too dry. The sandwiches were of a tasty variety, with my personal favorite having been the roast... (more) beef. The flavors were bright and fresh, with the exception of the cucumber sandwich, which tasted a little strange. The desserts were nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. One was exceptionally sweet and almost tasted of pure sugar, so I would be careful when eating them.
While this is not an actual tea room, when you are there for the tea service, you are only given the tea menu. And you cannot order the tea service if you are there for other dining. They are very ridgid with their structure.
Note! They do not allow you to change the flavor of your tea without paying an additional $6 per pot. So if you're with others who are willing to share (they do refill your water as much as you'd like), I would suggest choosing more than one tea at the start, since each person is given his or her own choice of tea with the service. There are a number of delicious sounding teas to choose from (I believe they are all whole, loose leaf teas), so paying $6 to try another flavor might not be a bad thing. But if you can avoid it, I would, since your bill is going to be over $30 per person already.

My husband & I were here in February. We found it to be very nice. Not an actual tea room, but afternoon tea served in a upscale hotel restaurant. My husband asked if he could have coffee instead of tea, and they were very accomodating. It was $30 per person and we received two of each kind of scone, sandwhich and desert served on a 3-tier tray. Our server was very polite and attentive. She served our fist cup and refilled our coffee and teapots twice. She even brought a small stool to place my purse on, so it didn't have to sit on the floor. There was nice jazz music being piped through the sound system. There was acutally more food served than we could eat. There were two types of scones, four different types sandwiches and four different types of pastries. They were all delicious and the lemon curd, cream & jam were as good as any I've ever had. I hope to get back here for tea again sometime.
