What a wonderful place to spend time, enjoying finer things of life. I invite everyone to enjoy an afternoon and be pampered. I took my sister for birthday and then invited a visitor to my home from WV to lunch. Her first trip to a Tea room, we enjoyed variety of 3 teas, wonderful scones and other delightful food. But most of all is the way you personally feel, Pat prepares wonderful food & Monica gives great service. It is a great escape from the ordinary and gives much needed mental relaxation. God Bless you for all you put into making a place for me & my friends to experience. Love Nathena Darlene

    Tearoom response:

Thank you for always being so complimentary of Tea, Lace, and Roses. We enjoy your visits and hearing about the tea parties you give for your friends, church, etc. You are such a tea enthusiast, and we are so glad to be a place you enjoy coming to relax and bring your friends. Also, we love your cookbook, and are glad to have it available in our gift shop. The recipes are wonderful -- and we appreicate you including the three recipes from Tea, Lace, & Roses. It was good to talk with you earler this week, and we look forward to your next visit. P. S. We hope you husband and his friends enjoyed their fishing trip while you and your friends come to tea recently. See you soon.

What a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. My recent visit back to Lake Alfred would not be complete without a couple visits to my favorite place to eat in Florida or anywhere for that matter. The flowers, court yard, friendly faces, delicious food, (no where else can I find the quality and flavors), the crepes are one of my favorites with the side salad that has a most delightful light dressing. The black bean soup was such a great starter, my daughter's favorite is still the chicken corn chowder soup. The tea flavor that day was delicious Blackberry, I like it iced, since I live in north now and it was hot that day. But I observed several of the Red Hat ladies that were also dining that day ( wow must have been almost a 100 of them)had an individual pot of hot tea. My friends and I shared 3 desserts, the Triple Berry Cheesecake was awesome, Angel pie was light and had lots of coconut, (yummy) Trifle is one of my favorites. For 20 years I have never eaten anything I did not like, therefore I look forward to including a trip or 2 here every time I visit FLorida, its one of the things I miss the most by not living in the area now. The little girls tea party from 10 years still holds special memories for my daughter and I. I hope to get a bunch of friends together on my next visit for high tea. The ladies are friendly & helpful & beautiful in their aprons. I just forget my cares and enjoy the beauty of this old house & its charm. Sara always greets me and my friends with love & affection as if we were walking into her personal dining room. Its a great place to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, to make treasured memories of quality time visiting your friends over lunch. I so appreciate my friends driving from Lakeland to share lunch with me. We plan on doing it again next visit. Thank you Sara & gang for the memories.
