Tea by Two
When my mother, aunt, and I stumbled upon this tea room last year we were suprised and thrilled to have found such a place. The tea was excellent, the setting of tables and different sets of tea pots and tea cups only added to the wonderful experience we had that day. Later that year my aunt and I planned to have my mother's birthday at Tea by Two. While the service was pitiful, I believe it was Susan who made us feel as though she was better than us, but we were given new teas that made us want to come back for more. I am only sixteen so I decided to try the tea and sweets where I was provided an exquisite chocolate chip scone, a pot of tea and many desserts. My mother and aunt got the high tea which they said was wonderful but they always left your store feeling empty and hungry. We even joked about going to TGIF next year just so we could get a feeling of having actually eaten something. We came back for my birthday and it just proved my point, we can only go to Tea by Two once and come out of the experience feeling as if it were all worth it. The more you go back the more you tend to see that the amount of food you are getting for the price is definately not worth it. I would like to commend the owners on the tables and decor of Tea by Two which I still love to look at, but I would suggest you offer a little bit more food for the price we pay. I would recommend this tea room to friends and family who have never been before just so that they can see the decor and taste the teas, but I would not recommend going back a second or third time. You always leave feeling hungry, and yet what you pay could be the equivalent of a steak at Chiles.
