This was my first visit to Miss Spenser's tearoom and it was definitely a 'haven of rest'. The surrounding Iowa countryside is beautiful! The tearoom is very elegant and you are very well pampered. Miss Spenser is a very gifted young lady and her portrayal of Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables was delightful. You may come as strangers but you definitely leaveas 'friends'. The family truly makes you feel welcome in their home!

Dear Karen...what sweet words...'haven of rest,' wow, we feel so honored that you would say that. It means so very much to us...our goal has been to make it a place of comfort, rest and relaxation through the foods, the decor and the foods...so glad you experienced that. We felt very honored that you selected our facility for your mother's very special birthday. Your mom was our first 'real' tea 'gig' when we used to cater! She had no idea how nervous we were! (smiles). Come back again soon!
