Small, cozy teahouse with lots of shopping options. We had a reservation for Afternoon Tea but had to wait 15 minutes for the prior party to leave. While there are hundreds of teas for purchase, the selection of tea on the menu was very limited. Two blacks, two decafs, one each herbal, green, white and red. Tea sandwiches & fruit were served on a large plate (not a tiered tray) and were average. Scones seemed more like biscuits but the homemade lemon curd and apple butter were fabulous. Afternoon Tea includes dessert but we were presented with our check and had to remind our server that we did not receive our dessert. Good thing we did, as the homemade pumpkin bread pudding was the highlight of the tea. The teahouse has been in business for 18 years and I’d think they would have these “kinks” worked out after all this time; perhaps they were just having an off day? When the check is presented each member in your party receives a business card with a loose leaf tea sample attached – a very nice touch.

I have been waiting and waiting for this teahouse located in North County to open. As the prices are a bit high, two friends and I decided to 'try it out' on the Cream Tea before having our whole group visit. The tearoom is BEAUTIFUL!!! The furniture, linens, dishes, artwork, etc are all perfect ... even the bathrooms are charming. I love the little gift shop out front, lots of interesting items I've not seen anywhere else. I also like that there is separation between the gift shop and the tearoom. Unfortunately, the Cream Tea fell short of our expectations. The scone was very small and served cold. Along with the scone we were served three thin slices of kiwi, four blueberries and less than 10 grapes. Although the tearoom itself is stunning, I don’t plan on returning which is very sad, I was really looking forward to loving this place.

Went with friends today and it was amazing. All items were homemade, fresh & delicious!! Wonderful selection of teas and the service was superb. Celina (Selena?) runs a top notch tea house.

I've had tea at the Westgate twice and it is becoming one of my favorites. The food, presentation and service were amazing. My only complaint is they don't have any decaf black teas, just herbal. A little more expensive than some, but well worth the money.
