  • The Tea House Under the Oaks

Three generations - grandma, mom, and daughter - out enjoying the day. Stopped in for lunch. Several hot tea varieties noted on the menu, but grandma and mom had the house special raspberry tea. Not as strong as some we have had, but still pleasant. Daughter tried the lavender lemonade and really enjoyed it. Grandma tried the Grandpa's Turkey sandwich on wheat and said it was nice. Mom had the 4 petite, which was 3 half sandwiches and a dessert. Sandwiches - Cranberry chicken (very good), cucumber avocado (very good),and pimiento cheese (excellent). Mom dessert was a lemon bar, but also available was a brownie, 3 types of fudge, and I believe a cookie. Daughter had cranberry chicken on a croissant, with chocolate fudge for dessert - and said those were wonderful. Soup was chicken tortilla and chicken noodle, and both were made from scratch and delicious. Tea Room Decorated really cute, and not overcrowded. Little things for sale in the front. Happy atmosphere, and our server was a doll - very attentive and friendly. We also got to sample a cranberry scone that the chef was trying out, which was very good too. We were originally going to try another tea room down the street, but they were full, so that owner sent us here - and we're glad he did.
