My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful, antique-filled home. Zeda and Dennis do welcome you into their lovely home and share its rich history with you. They offer a wide variety of teas not commonly found in most tea rooms as well as the usual teas like Earl Grey. Our gumbo was rich and hearty and the butterscotch pecan scones were warm, buttery and sweet. Zeda brought plenty of fluffy cream for the scones to keep some of us from pilfering our neighbors dish. This is a warm and inviting place tucked into the redwoods and I highly recommend it.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting your lovely store and tea restaurant. I was impressed with both. The staff in the tea store was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable, while the staff upstairs serving tea, was equally as good. My only complaint was that sweetened whip cream was offered, instead of clotted cream, with my very yummy, fresh from the oven, raspberry scone and the lack of other tea essentials, such as tea sandwiches or other sweet treats. I hope that as Tea and Treasures grows, so will its menu. In the mean time, thank you for the lovely spot of tea on a very cold November day.

    Tearoom response:

I'm glad you enjoyed our tearoom. We had a 'full service' tearoom from October 2004 thru May 2005, and offered full afternoon tea and sandwiches, etc. We hope to eventually be able to return to offering afternoon tea on a regular basis. The people who visted our tearoom said it was the best afternoon tea they ever had, but in the 8 months we were open we were not able to build enough clientale to support offering so many choices. So for now we serve a delicious bowl of soup with a warm flavored scone and a hand steeped pot of premium loose leaf tea in a beautiful, tranquil, Victorian setting. We offer afternoon teas on a quarterly basis. (Our last tea was December 3, 2005). If anyone would like to be added to our afternoon tea e-mail notification list please call 541-549-8327. We get a lot of compliments on our whipped cream but for those of you who must have clotted cream, we have personal jars of clotted cream available for an additional $1.00 charge (our cost). Hope to see you again soon Rose. Thanks for coming! Barb
