My family and I have enjoyed ourselves every time we have had tea at Vianne's Tea House. The Victorian Tea held on December 19,2013 was informative, fun and just plain yummy. I love this place. It is my little slice of Heaven on Earth.

On Dec. 19th, I had the pleasure to visit Viannes with special friends who live in New Orleans. We had a lovely waitress named Jon who took good care of us. I enjoyed my scones and egg salad sandwich. Continued success and God Bless.

Took a friend, for her birthday, to Vianne's for lunch today. Kerri greeted us with a big smile, remembered me from the past and facebook. The food, as always, was soooooo good,Michael, Kerrie's husband and the Chef is very good ... we had the crabmeat/asparagus quiche with salad and their Perfect Pear vinaigrette ... we had such a lovely time ... thank God I have several friends who love tea as much as I do ... so I will have several trips back ... yayyyyy me ... our wait person was Christy and she was very attentive as was everyone there ... there were several couples and small families ... Thank you to everyone who was there during our lunch ... you all made it worth our drive from Baton Rouge to Mandeville ... hope to see y'all soon ...

      Tearoom response:

It is our pleasure! The weather was tea-lightful! Today we were making room in the shop for arrivals of some unique tea items and equipage, so please come back soon to shop and enjoy.

I come here because, next to taking a Midrin for a migraine, this place really relaxes me. The tea arrangement is awesome and the owners will only accept nothing but the best for their customers. The food is excellent and the chef, who is one of the owners, only uses the freshest ingredients in his food. In 2009, I celebrated my 30th birthday here and I will nerver forget how much of a treat it was for me as I was treated like a queen! In March I hope to have my daughter's birthday party here because I know this is a place where she will be treated like the princess she is!!!!!

My sister and I so enjoyed our time at Viannes. The food was incredible and the server (Nicole) was extremely attentive to our needs. I read with much concern and distress the review written by Tina. I was witness to the events she describes however, it was not the owner who was being unreasonable rather, the customer who would not allow the owner to refund her overcharge of $1.00. We have since been back to Vianne's several times and can only say that we are so very pleased with not only the food but the kindness of the owners and staff. Sorry Tina!

I went to Viannes with my mom this weekend after reading a review by a local food critic and was very disappointed with the customer service. While the food was acceptable, we were overcharged for the lunch special and when we questioned the bill, we were told that ' it was written on the board wrong'. They proceeded to charge us the higher price! I even spoke with one of the owners and his indifference was shocking. I don't know how any business can afford to treat customers this way and expect to remain in business. We will definitely not be back.

I just flew in from Miami, first time coming to a tearoom. The food was amazing and innovative. The service was without flaw and quick in attending to us. The location is adorable and great. I will surely be returning next time I come to town.

Vianne's is a beautiful resting place in this sweltering weather. The tea was delicious, the servers helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. Will visit again!

Vianne's is one of my favorite aspects of Mandeville and one of the few reasons I leave the southshore these days! My experiences here have ruined me for other coffeeshops, restaurants and cafes... The food is to die for, the service top quality and the teas... Oh god the teas! They really speak for themselves :)

I've been coming to Viannes Tea Salon for many years and am aways treated extremely well every time i've eaten there. I'm absolutely addicted to the Viannes Vivation Iced Tea in paticular.....I have to have it at least three times a week. The food is always spectacular and Michael always takes great care in the way the food is presented as well as the amazing tastes rolling out of the kitchen. The wait staff always treats me like royalty. There is no place in this area like Viannes and I recommend it to everyone! It's also a great dating spot....very intimate setting and quiet atmosphere. Vianne's is AWESOME!

My experience here was a mixed bag: great tea and food but the cleanliness left a bit to be desired. The commode appeared not to have been scrubbed recently (pink ring). Also, there were smudges on the tablecloth from a previous diner, which is excusable since the cloths are linen, but optimally should have been changed before the next guest's arrival. All in all, the experience didn't live up to the expectation.

      Tearoom response:

What a blessing it was for us to be so busy last Sunday and this week during the doldrums of summer. But, yes, I remember seating someone and cringing when I saw the tablecloth spotted.I should have apologized right then & there and asked if you minded getting up while we changed the tablecloth, but I felt that I didn't want to keep you from being seated any longer. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I brought my 3 older grandchildren, g9, b11, and b13 for the Mad Hatter Tea. They loved it, especially the boys. They loved wearing the hats, learning their manners for a tea, and actually loved the varieties of hot tea!! Thanks to Vianne's for a lovely experience.

      Tearoom response:

Candace, Yes, it was a glorious, Mad, Mad Tea Party. What great weather. The front lawn came alive just as the Storybook does to the imagination. It is so wonderful to be appreciated for all our efforts as we are such a small mom & pop shop. We all - the entire staff worked so hard. Thank you so much for being there!

I have been bringing members of my family to Vianne's ever since I first experienced their hospitality in July of 2010...Since then I have been there at least 5 times and I have to travel an hour to enjoy their tearoom food and atmoshere...I have been there for both lunch and their tea service...Yesterday visit was the best!...Michael's blueberry scones were the lightest and flackiest he has ever made!...I've enjoyed at least 5 of their tea offerings but usually come back to my favorite whice is a caramel selection..I enjoy the calm and quaint atmoshere where my friends and I can linger and visit with no one rushing us to leave...this is one reason I usually go for the 2:30 tea and stay until closing!

      Tearoom response:

Thank you! Michael takes much care in his cooking and especially the scones. Your kind words are a great source of pride and the reason we enjoy working hard as we hope to continue to earn your support. I am most excited about our forthcoming English Tea Garden & Prayer Garden in our backyard hopefully reeady for Spring!

We came with a large ladies group. We loved the High tea. Plenty of food, heart-shaped scones, savories fresh from the oven, tea sandwiches exquisitely presented and the petite fours melted in your mouth. We can't wait for another reason to come back!

I love this precious tea salon. It is a great place to have a great meal and visit with friends. I am hooked on the tea and scones. Now my neighbors are also hooked. What I like about this salon is that they also serve delicious daily specials. It is hard to name my favorite but if I had to I'd say the shrimp quesidillas. The perfect pear salad dressing was so good that I took some home.

      Tearoom response:

      Hello Pam,
Thank you for your kind words. Chef Michael worked hard to perfect the scone recipe! And, the salad dressing we can hardly keep in stock at the shop, but call ahead if you need some to take home to be sure.

We drove around 75 miles to go to this tea room after finding this page on your website. We were told we had to book 4 days in advance for tea reservations due to preparation time. No where on this web page is that stated. We were terribly disappointed with that policy and will never go here again. We also take the travelocity 'best' with a grain of salt. Information regarding reservation policy, etc. should be included both here on this site and on the individual tea room website. A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.

      Tearoom response:

      Hello Betty,
We are so sorry this happened to you. We have since contacted this web site service and requested our 24hr advance notice to be included on THIS web site. It has always been on our own web site, but we will repeat on our web site in several more locations. I certainly remember speaking to you and expressing our 'High Tea' is a 24hr notice to our elaborate preparation & presentation. I am sorry you did not stay to enjoy our fresh baked scones and full cafe menu of which walk ins are welcome - reservations are certainly recommended due to high demand times etc. We feel it is important to offer several styles of meals for our customers to enjoy for those planned ahead special occasions and for daily whims. We hope you will come back one day to stay more than a few minutes to enjoy the true Vianne's experience. Again, we apologize for your inconvenience.

An afternoon of tea at Vianne's with friends from New Orleans and Baton Rouge was indeed a special treat. The culinary delectables surpassed any I have ever been served at either The Windsor Court or The Ritz Carlton in New Orleans. The blueberry and spiced apple scones were delicious, fresh and warm; the assortment of tea sandwiches were most impressive and tasty; and the desserts were truly extraordinary. The service was exceptional; the experience, unforgettable. The owner Kerry was extremely responsive to our needs and desires; and we had an opportunity to compliment the chef personally. We will definitely recommend Vianne's to our friends and family and look forward to returning again very soon.

Vianne's is indeed a Special Find. No wonder they are considered the number One Tea Salon in The State. And has earned the Honor of a Top Five Places to visit as well. The Tea Rooms are done in unique and pleasing comfort. The food is always expanding typical horizons, as well, serving the most Outstanding High Teas. I notice Myra's Scone Comment and have to say, no way, the Scone are wonderful. I imagine as well, that her server may have been a new edition to the staff, for I have been in the Salon many times and find everyone well adverser in the Teas and very pleasant and cheerful.

Scones were too sweet and were served with sour cream instead of clotted cream as mentioned in the menu. The server was not well versed in the menu and not sophisticated enough to serve tea.

Vianne's is a beautiful, charming gem on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. There is always a new tea to experience, and the food is delicious, whether a lunch or high tea...expect to feel special. It's also a great place to unwind from a busy week. Kerri and Michael have created a treasure...make sure you meet them when you go.

Went for a birthday in Aug. 2007, EXCELLENT!!!! Made reservations for the Dickens Christmas Tea, it was a disaster. I would never recommend going to this event at Christmas time. Any other time I would highly recommend.

Vianne's Tea Salon is a rare and special place that I retreat to when feeling harried at work or distreed by world events. The atmosphere is serene and cozy, and the staff are warm and cherful. I especially enjoy the glass-top tables wtih slips of poetry and inspiration tucked underneath! The food is always very good and the wide selection of teas is amazing! it's one of my favorite places.

There are so many selections of tea. You get to taste each one every time you go in. The quality of the food is outstanding - not only delicious, but a good portion - you can even bring your husband. The atmosphere is wonderful. You leave there feeling so relaxed. By the way you have to try the scones!!!
