My routine in historic Ellicott City - a matcha latte at Matcha Time Cafe at one end of Main Street, then a lovely stroll to the Matcha Time Gift Shop at the other end. Staffed by just the nicest folks and the tea and accessories are all fantastic!

Great tea and great food. It is very expensive for the proportion sizes. I've always enjoyed coming here but it's definitely something I have to have money set aside for a rainy day to go. The Blue Jasmine tea is a personal favorite.

This is an authentic Japanese tea shop operated by a Japanese woman. They sell tea ready-to-drink, loose-leaf tea, tea accessories, and Japanese gifts. I have had their matcha latte which had just the right tiny amount of sweetness in it.
