I took my friend Laurie to Anaba last night, and while it was her first time, she said it would not be her last. We had a teriffic server, Brynn (sp?) and our food was delicious. The pear and walnut soup was very tasty, smooth and not overly sweet. The Vietnamese taco had a perfect mix of flavor and textures that made it exciting for my mouth! We also had the Japanese chicken tenders - high five for increasing the amount of sauce - its very very good. I love you, Anaba! We will be back soon :)

Great lunches and dinners. Global influences permeate the menu. They have like 90 loose leaf teas, mostly organic and fair trade. Really well run.

Anaba started my interest in tea shops. You enter on the first floor, which is a very fancy garden shop. There is an area in the middle which is cut through to the floor below, and you can observe diners amid the foliage. Take the elevator or stairs to the tearoom below. Or take the elevator up to the rooftop for a lovely view and a garden to walk through, in addition to tables where you are served your tea. The menu is varied, but I almost always choose the 'Tea for Two,' for an English tea experience. You will not be disappointed!

I enjoyed Anaba's. I had tea up on the roof during the summer time. It was quite lovely, great view, tranquil, and good food. I loved the place, there was a tea house down stairs on first florr which is ok, second floor was more of a store, and third floor was nice because it felt like a garden. It was real nice. If in Millwaukee area it's definately a place I would go back to.

This use to be my favorite place to go! Things changed and the food/service isn't what it once was. Haven't been back in month since the last time was so disappointing.

I was visiting a friend in Milwaukee this past weekend and we stopped in for a fun visit. We did not eat, just looked at the teas. The staff was INCREDIBLE!!! They turned me onto the Blueberry Rooibus tea, it is delicious! Thanks for the recommendation! This tea room is a great find!

A sophisticated tea-drinking friend of mine told me I had to go to Anaba but as it is over 70 miles from my home I put it on my 'To Do' list for the summer. When my sister came to visit Milwaukee last weekend from Miami, I decided that we should try it. We arrived near closing (3 pmm for Saturday tea) but we were seated and offered menus. What a delightful surprise for us all! The food was fabulous. The atmosphere inspired and my husband (who is from Yunnan China, the land of Pu'er cha) lauded the quality of the Yunnan teas. In all, we had such a delightful time. Afterwards, my sister and I went to the rooftop garden and she was impressed with all that was growing in Wisconsin. I highly reccommend Anaba to any tea afficianado coming to and residing in the Milwaukee area.

This restaurant kitchen offers a great selection of tea and food, even some vegan choices. the inside seating is calming and relaxing to eat in. It has beautiful surrounding of various fountains and paintings that are always pleasing to the eye. you also have a wonderful option of getting seated outside, for a wonderful view of Shorewood. All in all this restaurant has amazing staff that make you feel welcome, delicious fresh foods, and seating that is comfortable and gorgeous. From a little party, to just an unexpected walk-in this place is a must. Can't wait to go back.

The shop is great. It has an amazing feel to it that just makes you relax. The water fountain and the plants hanging down from the ceiling give you this outdoor feel, like a quiet oasis. The tea was prepare very well and the bring the steeped leaves to you so you can enjoy the smell of the tea before you sip. I loved it and can't wait for my girlfriend to come visit so we can stop by and try the afternoon tea.

We have visited the Anaba Tea rooms on several occasions. What a treat. The variety of tea on offer is truly amazing, the food, devised by chef Greg, is absolutly first class. We found all of the staff friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Please do go and visit.

I visited Anaba for the first time after a friends recommendation and found it to be simply charming. Both the main floor and the greenhouse have a tranquil feeling and the food was very satisfying and wonderfully presented. i especially like the vegan soup selection. So many teas to choose from and a great wine list too. I always find it a treat to go.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Anaba Tea Room. From the moment we walked in, I felt like we had entered an oasis. The staff was wonderful, and I felt like we had been treated like royalty. The food was delicious. We recommend the Tea Room to all of our friends, and look forward to returning.

Very cool and unigue place. The selection of teas is mind boggling - it would take months to try them all. Thankfully, the staff can help you with selecting. The teas are mostly from Rishi and are nearly all organic, fair-trade, or both. The selection of teas runs the spectrum from black - there are a couple of really good Darjeelings (the Darjeeling second flush is especially good)- to greens and whites. The food, service and atmosphere really enhance the tea experience. It's such a unigue place that it's hard to describe. On a nice day, the rooftop garden or greenhouse are the nicest places in town. And main restaurant area is a nice hiding place from the world. Can't say enough good stuff about this place.

I saw this tea room on TeaMap and I dragged my fiance along with me. I absolutely loved it. The tea was delicious and the food was as well. Next trip to Milwaukee I will definitely be returning.

The tea room is situated in the basement of an incredible building, decked out from surface to surface with eye-catching ephemera and hand-crafted marvels, upstairs and down. Natural light filters down to the dining room from a skylight on the roof, creating a totally serene atmosphere. Aside from the wonderful decor, the extensive tea menu is reason enough for any tea drinker yo be interested in this lovely spot.

The Anaba Tea Room has multitude of white, green, oolong, black, pu-erh and herbals (including yerba mate). All tea served is from Rishi, a quality and reputable tea company. The food served is unique and always delicious. The soups are always from scratch, always a vegan choice. As far as tea prep goes, Anaba offers glass tea cups of various sizes, Tokoname for green teas and Gaiwan for Oolongs. They use tea timers and thermometers to assure the best experience. I was impressed with the staff's knowledge of teas and the cultures from which they originated. Fine green teas from Japan prepared traditionally in a Tokoname and delicate Oolongs brewed in a Gaiwan, an old Chinese tradition. Check out the seating in the greenhouse.

Really neat place...It is a good tea room to take someone too. They have great food as well. It is at the bottom of a cool garden store and has an atrium above it, quaint and unique.

Many new spots seem to be popping up, yet Anaba is by far the class of Milwaukee tea spots. The tea slection is the largest and unsurpasssed in quality, the food is creative, fresh and obviously made with passion. The staff is knowlegable and friendly. Really a hidden Milwaukee gem.

I recently had my first visit to the Anaba Tea Room, and it surely will not be my last! A friend and I indulged in the afternoon tea for two, and a large pot of delicious Golden Yunnan Rishi tea. The food was beautifully presented and extremely tasty (the cucumber sandwiches were especially delicious!), but the chocolate chip muffins were a bit to dry, but all in all we were completely thrilled with our visit. Nice, quiet place with a wonderful ambiance. This has certainly become a new favorite spot for me, I highly reccommend it!

Anaba apparently means: a little known but pleasing space, and it is exactly that. They re-brand the rishi teas, and have most of the line there. Loose teas are the same price as from rishi as well, so it's a great way to sample stuff you may not have tried. The service is good, and the food is tasty and moderate in proportion and price. The space is very relaxing, and comfortable. It's great to have a place that is focused on good teas, and not a coffee shop that carries a couple 'republic of tea' jars. Tea choices are plentiful, and samovars flow freely. Also, it's nice that it doesn't seem to get too crowded. It's a very pleasing space indeed.
