If this place was marketed as a cafe and for bubble tea, it'd be fantastic. However, they market as being a 'modern tea room' which... is way off the mark. It's a bar-style setup, so you have to stand around in a cramped space while teenagers (who know nothing about the product) prepare your drink. The tables are tiny and the chairs so narrow and uncomfortable, I rarely see people spend long in the shop itself. For bubble tea and light cafe fare, their selection is fine, but if you're seeking somewhere to get a well-prepared cuppa something... well, hopefully your tastes are narrow because the selection is incredibly limited.

It saddens me that we were not what you were looking for in a modern tea room. We try to offer a very wide variety of organic loose leaf teas to suit all tastes. Offering 80 different teas, ranging from Formosa Oolong to our always popular Cream Earl Grey through herbal Rooibos tisanes to silver needle white teas, we feel we have the market here covered quite nicely. Our space is indeed small, only 8 tables, we are located in Falls Park and love the idea that we can also be a great place to stop in and grab a fresh brewed tea, iced or hot, and head out to enjoy the park. However, if you were here on the weekend I can imagine in must have seemed crowded. We are thankful to have a booming grab a healthy tea slush and go environment. On the weekdays we offer a wonderful lunch menu and we cater showers and tea parties for all ages, and are often a quiet place to relax and enjoy the river. <BR> I found it rather harsh that you assume the 'teenagers' behind the counter don't know anything about our product. My staff is very well educated and are able to help find the tea that is right for you. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, knowledgeable, approachable staff in the sometimes overwhelming but exciting world of tea. I hope you will stop back in and give us another shot :)

This spot is totally unique...my friend and I had quiet girl time near the river sipping our rasberry lemonade tea slush w/ pearls and eating a protein- hummus whole wheat pita. DELIS! A must do if you are downtown!

I had visited their previous location, so when I heard they moved to right on the river, I had to go! A great, open atmosphere overlooking the river, the tea is still fantastic. I haven't tried a tea there I haven't liked; the bubble tea is fantastic (I can't stop getting it, even in winter), and the loose leaf teas are always great as well. My only complaint is that they're sometimes out of the bubble tea flavor I wanted when I walked in - but that just means I get to try something new!

O-CHA Tea Bar is the place to be. The atmosphere is great. It is always a wonderful experience each visit. The staff is always friendly and willing to help new tea drinkers in their choices. Starbucks better watch out. Tea kicks coffees butt. I LOVE O-CHA!!!

I love how if you wanted to, you didn't have to get the same thing twice on the menu! There is such a large variety of drink combinations. I loved the service and the location as well as the atmosphere of the establishment. I'm definately going back soon!

I meet up with my friends all the time and have a nice conversation over bubble tea. Great location, friendly people, modern atmosphere, unique tea offerings; altogether it's a great place to chill.

This is a real gem! O-CHA serves a wide variety of excellent teas. It is in a stunning location in the West End of Greenville, SC overlooking the Reedy River. It's urban, cosmopolitan, and welcoming all at the same time. The staff are great. Highly recommended!

A good place for young people to hang out. Really more of a university-hangout type place than a tea room.

Excellent place to hang out. Awesome decor and seriously good tea. One of a kind lounging area and superb location make this a swanky way to spend the afternoon. I'm really keen on the Kiwi Bubble Tea with a side of edemame.

This was an excellent little shop downtown. It is on the 2nd floor of one of the buildings with seats providing a lovely view of Main Street, Greenville. The food, a new age/vegetarian style, was excellent. I highly recommend the tomato soup. My friend and I also got a pot of their Darjeeling hot tea. It was such a smooth blend that I bought a bag of the leaves to take with me. As far as the décor and presentation it made me think more of an eclectic coffee house more than what you would expect for a tea room. To sum things up, I have plans to visit again.

O-Cha has become one of my favorite parts of the afternoon, since my office is just up the street. Love the space (minimal decor, but nicely done), and the owners are really nice people. After just a few weeks of being open, I was already a regular!

Thanks for the great review Brian!!! We'll keep the Berry Berry in stock just for you :) Mallie
