I always enjoy my time at Grand Oak Farm. The atmosphere is wonderful and Beulah is a gracious hostess. Whether I go for a tea or make a wreath, it is a worthwhile experience. Thanks for the last two days.

I chose this location to hold a birthday party 3 years ago and have returned several times since. I had 28 ladies in my party. The location is out in the country in a quiet location that reminded me of the 1950's, the era when many of us grew up and things were much simpler. The tea room is a separate building nestled in the garden area and there is a little walking involved, but simply ask and you will be given directions to an area to park a little closer to the building, which is a small barn with a history, and was moved to its current location and turned into a tea room. I found the decorations charming. The food is EXCELLENT! The tea is made on location. If you plan an event you can select the items and flavor(s) of choice. Beulah, the owner, is a walking encyclopedia of information on 'everything gardening' who believes in eliminating pesticides and chemicals, so yes, there might be a weed or two. You can sign up for classes and attend special events. Compared to other herb farms I have visited the prices are very reasonable. I have joined the Grand Oak Herb Farm's Tea Society which meets on a monthly basis and look forward to each and every gathering where we enjoy tea, delectables, conversation, and always learn something new. I highly recommend you take a little time out of your busy life to enjoy a step back in time and just relax. While you are there visit the green house where you can purchase plants that you might not find anywhere else and the large gift shop stocked with beautiful tea accessories, glassware, food items, loose tea and much more.

Went to a special occasion tea at the Grand Oak Herb Farm expecting a pleasant afternoon with friends over tea. It was unclear where to park or proceed to the tea, the outdoor area was unkept and in disrepair. Interaction with the owner/hostess was nearly nonexistent while the decor seemed rather dated. There was no choice in tea as it was prepared ahead of time. I would not recommend or go here again. It was embarrassing to have suggested it.

This is no ordinary tea place! She has a wonderful gift shop, and green houses with herbs!! I absolutely love this place and would recommend it to anybody! If your looking for tips on gardening or how to make homemade anything- pick the owners brain! Well worth a drive if you're from out of town!

Last Saturday, my husband, sister-in-law, good friend and I attended a Colonial Williamsburg Tea at this very quaint tea room located on an herb farm. The food was delicious and our hostess, Beulah, was a very sweet lady who answered all our questions about a Colonial Williamsburg Tea and showed us several floral arrangements that would have been used during that time period. She also e-mailed us later with the recipes for the food served that day. This made for a very unique experience and wonderful afternoon out!

I have been here at least twice a year for the last 7 years and the teas are amazing. They only hold about 20 teas each year and all are themed around seasonal/topical themes and include talks about tea traditions, etc. Service is always excellent and the food and tea menus are imaginative and appropriate to the occasion.
