This was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary: wide tea selection, incredible food, and fantastic service. They even put a little "Happy Anniversary" sign on the table and gave us each a little gift. I'll be back again soon!

I love love love the staff, food, and tea. Such exotic combinations. We spent a couple hours just enjoying the tea and view, but we could have spent all day. The owner let us borrow shawls and even picked us edible flowers. The tea was delicious and unexpected. We enjoyed walking the grounds. It was so fun. I recommend this place to everyone. Please go!

Nice tea room, small and quiet. Cute gift store also. The food was good as was the tea but I literally had to get up to search out someone for another pot of tea. Service was kind of non existent but this was a few months ago. Maybe it has gotten better.

Everything was wonderful as usual, the owner and all of the wait staff are great, the food is to die for. This is why I keep returning, I've been 7 times, and my eighth is in 2 weeks.

I have now been here twice, and I won't be back. The location is lovely, the servers were polite, the food was tasty (scones not so much but the rest was very good). What has ruined it both times was the attitude of the manager/owner/whatever she is at the front. She is curt to the point of rudeness and left an unsettled feeling with myself an my party. I feel bad for the rest of the staff as they were very nice and helpful. I do tea fairly often- but not here again.

This Tea House is my favorite. I have been here five or six times and each time, I enjoy it more and more. The food is divine!!!! You never leave hungry. The tea is flavorful and served beautifully. The staff is nice and the old Victorian home is the perfect place to do tea. I love this tea house so much, it is the only place I want to spend my 'tea dollars.' I would recommend this tea house if you want to enjoy some of the most delicious tea food served in San Diego. Bravo Coral Tree!

Maybe it was an of day for the Coral Tree Tea House but our service there was lacking, the scones were more like biscuits and we didn't even get our tea for a good half hour. We tried the friendship tea which was wonderful as was the surrounding area of old town's heritage park but I feel I could have done a better job at my house. Sadly, would not highly recommend.

Looking for a wonderful English afternoon tea experience? Come to this quaint and delicious tea room in Heritage Park, Old Town San Diego. From making the reservation, to exiting the house, the staff is courteous and excellent.

You park in the Heritage Park lot off of Harney St. And walk through the few houses up to the Tea House.

In the foyer, they had a delightful display of jewelry for St. Patrick's Day. We were seated shortly--we followed our hostess down the hallway to the right. There are two connected soft yellow rooms-immediately you can sense the delightful atmosphere...They have a great selection of tea. We reserved the Queen's High Tea-their full service.

We tried their Coral Tree tea(delightful), and ordered Chocolate Hazelnut Decaf, Pumpkin Pie, and Liquid Candy(chocolate & marshmallow). We liked all of them except the Liquid Candy-it had a slight aftertaste.

We started with the Waldorf salad-light and a good appetizer.

On the bottom tier, the petite sandwiches were an abundance in variety: cucumber, egg salad, chicken salad, a little spinach turnover, a wonton like one with cottage cheese, a ham & cheese croissant like roll, & they made a smoked turkey (instead of ham for me).

The second tier had two types of scones-an apple peach and fruit cocktail with Devonshire cream & lemon curd.

The top tier had 3 desserts including a delightful berry cup & seven layer brownie. An extra plate had apple and orange slices, along with cute & tasty cheesecakes!

So much food we had to take home some. It was no problem for them to provide separate checks. If you want water, I suggest you request it when you order the first round of tea.

Be careful if you are wearing heels while walking back to the lot. The pavement is cobblestone and is going slightly downhill. They had told me they have a handicapped entrance to the side.

Overall, a happy and yummy time-I am bringing more friends back here.

This Tea House is new to Old Town San Diego, and one of the best teas I've ever had.
