With all the great reviews on this business, I thought I would check this place out. But it looks like this place is permanently closed. I should have known since the last review was about seven years ago.

Excellent high quality teas. The best local place to buy high quality loose leaf tea. Try the Ali Shan and Milk Oolong.

This place is beautiful, clean, authentic, and looks brand new even though they've been open for 3 years already. Tons of tea selections. I ordered the regular boba milk tea and it was great! I could taste the tea, the boba was nice and chewy, and it wasn't too sweet.

I also ordered their beef noodle soup because it's my go-to Taiwanese dish to try. It was good! Tender meat and veggies with hand-pulled (I think) noodles. I would've like a little more complexity to the broth but it was still good. The spicy wonton was kinda weird though. There was this strange intense sour aftertaste to it. My husband thought that was great, I just thought weird.

Come to this place though, it's great! I hope to pay more visits for the tea. I'll try different flavor teas next time.

My friend recommended Midastee as a place where she enjoys loose leaf tea. I would have to agree with her. The lighting, tables and chairs are designed rightfully so. My favorite here was the Oolong tea. I like their traditional way for teas (without sugar and cream).

I know they spent some time brewing it in the back for me so I was a happy customer. If you enjoy a large variety of loose leaf teas you'll like Midastee.

My friend and I came here when we realized that the best tea house we have ever been to that is up the street is closed :( I realize we were set on Sweet Divas and had high expectations, but this is NOT a 'tearoom'. It is in a strip mall with no sort of tearoom decor. It looks like a chinese takeout restaurant. They didnt have any flavors of tea that I cared for at all and I had to ask for cream and sugar when it was served. The food was awful in my opinion. Their mushroom sherry soup had the taste and texture of ramen noodles that had been doctored up. Their hawaiian tea sandwich was canned pineapple and ham on white bread with american cheese melted on it. Oh, and the soup came completely cold and my friend had to send it back. When we heard the ding of the microwave the gentleman rounded the corner with hot soup. If this is your idea of a tearoom experience then have fun at Midastee. The cookies at the shop next door were the highlight of our experience.

We definitely agree- a hidden gem!! We are regular customers after our first visit. Food is fresh, healthy and superbly flavored! Afternoon tea is generously proportioned and the drinks and tea selection are incredible. Service is outstanding and the atmosphere is very peaceful.

This is a hidden little gem. It's not ideally situated, being in a strip mall that's more retail, where one wouldn't expect to find a Taiwanese tea and deli restaurant. And judging from the business, it's still largely undiscovered but hopefully not for long.

They serve a variety of Taiwanese dishes, including noodle dishes and appetizers. For some reason, their online menu only shows their afternoon tea, soup, salad, and sandwiches. I've tried the beef stew noodle, which is rich in flavor. I've also tried the Dan-Dan mein, which is also really good. The food here is very authentic and fresh. They also have boiled vegetable dishes which the wife really enjoyed. The kids loved the pork dumplings which looked like they were freshly made from scratch.

The tea drinks are very good too. I think Midastee will become a regular stop.

I am a tea freak, so I was excited when I saw a tea house in Brea, CA.

Midastee has a dizzying selection of teas in all colors and types. The owners were friendly and eager to help me decide between the many kinds of teas. The owner's suggestion was perfect by the way. I've been back about six times, each time trying something new. They have so many different kinds and all of them have been great.

I came back on a different day for lunch and the sandwiches were fantastic. I've since had the Peking Sandwich and the Chicken Sandwich which were both amazing. I've only had their mushroom sherry soup, but it was also great.

The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet, perfect to bring a book or chat with friends. Also, they have free Wi-Fi. Also, they sell gift sets and tea pots.

Anyway, I hope these guys do well since I selfishly want them around so I can try all their different kinds of tea. Come in and give them a try. If you like tea, you won't be disappointed.

I live within walking distance, and go there whenever possible. The people there are always upbeat, and the tea is amazing. There are also so may flavors to try. And their foods can't be beat. I highly recommend it followed by their homemade cakes. The atmosphere is always pleasant.

We ate here on July 3rd. The food is truly excellent; there is so much food provided. The only downside - there was only 1 decaf tea available and it took a LONG time to get served. We waited 40 minutes for tea service and then it was 1.5 hours into our visit before we had our food. I have heard such good things about this place...I would like to give it another try.

For my birthday, my family brought me to Midastee Tea House. I am so happy that this is the tea house that was chosen. It is such a wonderful place. For starters, it is decorated so nicely. The teapots and tea cups are exquisite. This definitely added to the ambiance. The owner and waitress were both very nice and PATIENT. Since this is a tea house, though, the tea is of utmost importance. I had a wonderful tea (Organic High Mountain Oolong). I tasted my cousin's tea too; it had a nice taste (Huang Shan Mao Feng Green Tea). Anyway, all six of us ordered the Afternoon Tea. The sandwiches were really delicious. Anyway, for $15 a person (not include tip) I think this was the most affordable and worthwhile tea house I've ever been to. You won't be disappointed!

A wonderful outing for my daughters. We had such a lovely time in a beautiful setting with good food served beautifully. I especially appreciated having a choice between lunches or full tea experience as especially the girls enjoyed the formal tea with sandwiches and sweets. It seemed a long drive to get there, but the drive home was short. A special treat was Linda playing her harp for us. She is so talented.

I would recommend a visit to Midastee for anyone wanting to learn about the real history of tea. You can step into the Tea House where there is always savory and sweet things to tempt even the most discriminating palate. I always would like to make a tea cup toast to a site that holds a special place in my heart. I tell all of my friends to come here. Everyone is always friendly and the service is excellent. Their afternoon tea is the best around. They have a great selection of teas.

A few of us wanted to get together for a nice quit relaxing afternoon and found not only that but a delightful experience. The service was exceptional and the food amazing. The Fish Salad was the best I've ever had. I have found a new special place to share with family and friends. We will return and talked about getting together there once a month for a girls day out.

My mom loves teas. We have always had the best tea experience in Midastee. We love the food, it's always fresh, tasty and generous and price amazingly reasonable. We had my sisters baby shower in Midastee last Saturday and when they were serving everyone was speachless. They have hundred's of teas. I love the Milk Oolong Tea and their Fruit Tea.

Try Midastee afternoon tea any day! Really!

I went to this tea house many times last year (have not since been in the area) and I still rememebr how wonderful the staff were and how delicious the teas were. This is such a cute warm place.. everybody should try it. I love the iced teas and hot teas here, but what keeps me coming back are the super-nice, friendly staff and the free Wi-Fi.

I took my friend to Midastee Tea House yesterday and she was overwhelmed by the graciousness of staff and the lovely presentation of foods. The tea selection was fantastic and was very hot and refilled often. The sandwich selection is great and the dessert delicious. We had a wonderful time and it was the highlight of my friend's visit. We would highly recommend visiting there to experience a special time.

Oh my goodness! Run, do not walk to the most amazing tea experience you will ever have. This place is unlike the tea rooms you have been to before. It is a tea house. It will change the way you view tea! I never review anything, but I couldn't wait to rush home and give this the best review possible. My friend and I celebrated her 60th birthday there today and only ended up there because the regular choices are closed on Monday. I've never felt so lucky. We left feeling as though we had spent 2 hours at the spa! Calm atmosphere, beautiful music, delicious food delightfully presented and the tea was the star! Do not miss this experience!

My girlfriend and I arrived late afternoon after several groups were just finishing. They welcomed us with a smile and showed us to our table. We appreciated that they offered organic Oolong tea! We had the Afternoon. Tea which included four different sandwiches and desserts. Everything was delicious and the tea stayed hot thru the whole meal! They checked on us from time to time to top off our tea and chat. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

I just had my 65th birthday party at Midastee in Brea yesterday. It was so much fun! I had 6 of my friends celebrate with me. The staff was just great and very helpful and friendly. It was the best birthday party I ever had. It is a very relaxing place to enjoy wide variety selection of fine tea and confectioneries meal. Each tea is prepared upon ordering. The presentations of each tea and customer service are phenomenal. It is great place to hang out with friends.

I highly recommend it for any girl of any age!
