This Tea room located in Palatine is such a treat for us girls and guys who live in the area. It is located in a Bistro, with a lovely room set aside just for tea time. Everything was just wonderful and flavorful, also the server was very attentive. A must go an try for yourselves. Also Lady Dee who creates the Tea Service usually comes by and says hello to her guests. She always has a story to tell ya.

This was my first tes experience and it was great! I brought my daughter with a friend and her mother. We enjoyed everything about the experience. Service was excellent, we had a variety of different types of finger foods and pastries, and each one melted in our mouths. The girls had a tea set just right for them and we had a set for ladies. We were each given our own tea pot with tea made from fresh leaves. Several little tea rooms give you a very personal and warm welcome. The owner even took the time to speak with us and share the history of how tea service began. We will difinitely be back!

I have never been to High Tea. So I did not know what to expect. There were four of us in our party, two women and two 9 year old girls. We wanted to experience high tea with our daughters. The whole experience was terrific. I had a black tea with just a hint of peach. It was very good. The tea pots and cups and saucers were beautiful. The finger sandwiches were deliscious, I may get some of the names wrong...but there was a sandwich that was very similiar to pimento cheese, of course there was English cucumber sandwiches, I think there was one with turky and cranberry. They were all wonderful and unique. It was so nice to have a variety of little sandwiches. Lady Dee does an amaxing job of preparing the food and presenting the tiers. The pastries were light and flavorful and the scone was great. I really appreciated the fact that they tailored the girls tea to a more youthful pallet. Meaning...some fancy cut grilled cheese that my daughter said was better than mine! But they also got to experience some of the traditional tea sandwiches. The girls chose not to have tea, but instead had root beer which they both enjoyed.

The atmosphere is calm, quiet, friendly and relaxing. I have been to Mint Julep Bistro for dinner and for lunch a couple of times. Each time I have loved the food and the service. I can now add High Tea to the wonderful times I have had at Mint Julep. The server and staff were friendly, explained things, made us very comfortable. I loved visiting with Lady Dee and David. I highly recomend Mint Julep Bistro. Great atmosphere and food and I can't wait to go back!

We are a group of four and had a Full Afternoon Tea at the Mint Julep in Palatine, IL. A new tea room that is both a bistro and tea room. It was wonderful and we had the most delicious sandwiches ever. the tea was presented in beautiful tea pots, some with roses and others with shamrocks. What a delight. The scones were to die for, the server a young gentleman in his early 20's I'd say, did a wonderful job paying close attention to our needs. I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking a Tea Service in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, and by the way you can't beat the price anywhere in the area. A great value for all you get at the Mint Julep!
