Tin Roof Teas grew out of the Hinson family’s passion for tea. We are dedicated to bringing the world’s finest teas and chocolates to North Carolina. Our tea consultants will help you discover flavors and learn new tea making techniques. With over 250 premium teas, you’ll develop a passion for our quality teas.
Whether you’re a novice or a connoisseur, our consultants will guide you through the collection. We won’t just sell you tea. We’ll teach you how it’s best prepared and what to pair them with. Our tea gurus can even provide information about the health benefits and history of the teas.
Tin Roof Teas offers monthly tea classes and tastings to provide customers with an opportunity to learn, broaden the senses, and tempt the taste buds.

Tin Roof has nearly everything you could ask for. Come for their huge variety of teas and teaware in all shapes and sizes, stay for the vast honey selection and tea bar. I love that I can get a cup of brewed tea that I just bought and don't have to wait until I get home.

Love tea? In Raleigh? It a must try!
The selection is amazing, the staff is knowledgable and friendly. Grab a cup of tea to go or load up on staples to make at home. A fine selection of teaware. Of course the ship as well!

What a shop!!! I have never seen so many wonderful teas. When I went in the shop, I was greeted cheerfully and was offered a sample. There were three samples available to try and they were all delicious! You can even get tea to go...which I did! :)
Their staff is very knowledgeable and eager to help. I left with a variety of different teas and will be back very soon!
