If you love good food then you are going to LOVE the Village Eatery and Tea Company - we feature 'Homemade Everything!' from our soups, bread for our sandwiches, scones, cakes, fruit crumbles, chiffon cheesecake pies, cookies and more. We also serve 'British style' afternoon teas, including a 'Quick Lunch, Village Afternoon Tea, Jack & Jill's Favorite Afternoon Tea especially for children and of course High Tea. Wednesdays & Thursdays we have our Senior Tea! something for everyone!
So, take time out from your busy day of shopping or working to come and relax in our charming restaurant. Where nothing really matches but it all comes together somehow, making you feel welcome, comfortable and right at home.

I was really hoping to love this place, but unfortunately it was quite the disappointment. The food wasn't good and the service was terrible - not the wait staff, but the folks in the kitchen! During my visit they talked and argued loudly. The decor leaves a lot to be desired. Tea is supposed to be a relaxing and luxurious experience. This felt like a visit to the in law's.

Hello, I wanted to give feedback of my experience with this restaurant, which was very poor.
To begin with, we ordered 'High Tea', which is something I've had before at other establishments. There were 3 other paying customers with me. Two of which I was going to pay for as well at full price.
We all agreed the tea and beginning course were wonderful, the salad was ok, more like something you'd get at a cafeteria, then when the tea sandwiches came, they were dry/stale, & some were more like ones you would serve to a 4yr old.
The scones were just ok, and the toppings (cream/lemon curd/jam) were extremely small, maybe a 1/2 tsp each (again not like other places I've been where they give you a nice portion). The other deserts were also dry. This place is at best 'sub-par' and much too expensive for what you get. Not to mention the food was dry and stale.
When I asked to speak with the owner about it, I made sure to mention to her that the tea and soup were wonderful, but...and I went on.. She was very rude and said 'I never receive complaints, I don't know what to tell you...' Then she started to walk away from me. I paused and said 'uh ok'.
Then when she brought the bill, she almost threw it on the table and ran away. I would say she has very POOR customer service skills. For this reason and the food, I would never go there again.
As a side note, the waitress was lovely and very nice, we tipped her well.
For the owner of a restaurant, I would think she would know that sometimes you will receive complaints, but that is part of the business, and it should be dealt with in a professional and polite manner. But, I would never go back, nor would I recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I took my mother here last month & fell in love. We had the high tea & everything was delicious (the English Norfolk cream...yum!!) We had the Monk Tea which was a good choice. My only regret is that I wish I lived closer & I wish the high tea came with crumpets. This tea room is an exceptional treat & I will return as often as possible!

I love this place. Been there twice for their luncheon tea, which comes with soup or salad, choice of tea sandwiches, scone and jam or lemon curd. The food is delicious very affordable. Nice to have a less expensive option to High Tea. The atmosphere is relaxed and not stuffy like a traditional British tea shop. The selection of loose teas is quite good; I love the organic Assam.

I have to say I was very disappointed with this teahouse. It was the first time I had ever had a teahouse person tell me they didn't have time to let me smell the teas. I was stunned into silence, but later went back to tell her I was saddened by her viewpoint. Then I found out it was the owner, which made me even more sad. There was a decent selection of tea, and decent food, but I won't return because of the attitude toward service and tea.

My daughter's and I absolutely love the Village Eatery & Tea Company! The service is excellent and the rooms are spacious yet cozy. We had the high tea which was very filling and the best in the Seattle area. Fianlly, a real Bristish establishment that has a very extensive menu of both food and teas. I can't wait to go back and try the cornish pastry. Everything was so deilcious and the scones were so light and fluffy. There is so much charm here right down to Henry the rooster that strolls around outside. They even have a bakery that you can just stop and take their delectables with you. We purchased some of their loose leaf teas too. They were so sweet and made sure we had a box to take home our leftovers. Very reasonable priced too!

We came with high hopes and drove many miles just to come here. This is a nice tea room but we encountered a few rough edges. We waited for quite some time before we were seated and the overall time it took for everything to be served was two hours. They were busy so we tried to be understanding and the tea we drank was excellent (loose leaf).
The main thing that disappointed us was that the owner seated a single person at a roomy 4-person table while our party of 2 was squeezed at a tiny table near the door. We ordered first but the other person got served first (same food we ordered). Because the other person was a regular, we felt like our business was not as important. This is nice if you're a regular but not as nice if you're new.
If we're in the area, we'll give it another try.

We got reservations at the Village Eatery and Tea Company with a quick phone call. This place is lovely. The food is delicious. We enjoyed High Tea for three. This is the real deal, for authentic British High Tea. We loved this place and will be back.

It is so exciting to see a friends long time dream come true, when you love what you do, your guests know it. This is a wonderful place to visit for a real high tea or lunch. If you need a place to host a special occasion call Jan is a wonderful baker, wait till you taste her scones and she make the best pot of tea I have ever enjoyed.

Our group of seven women enjoyed tea yesterday. The ambiance was delightful, the food was delicious, and the service was gracious and most accommodating to our special needs. My favorite sandwich was the turkey with raspberry cream cheese. The tea selection was wonderful. I enjoyed the Sunset in Seattle Tisane. One of the ladies remarked, 'I will come back with you anytime!'

A jewel of a restaurant located at Country Village in Bothell. This quaint Tea House is loaded with English charm and great tasting food. One of my favorites is the Turkey with raspberry cream cheese sandwhich..and the scones are 'out of this world!'. A place to definitely visit.

I had High Tea at the Village Eatery late last week with 3 other people and it was scrumptious! All of the dishes, whether savory or sweet, were delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The tea was excellent and there is a wide selection to choose from. The presentation was elegant and the service was both prompt and gracious. My family and I have been to four other tea rooms in the area, all of them multiple times, and The Village Eatery stands head and shoulders above them all. Don’t miss your next opportunity to try it!

I love my tea and this 'hidden gem' in Country Village is just the place. What a delight to hear an English accent and to be served such delicious food. I will be back again and again

A delightful experience is highlighted when the owner brings her own English charm to accompany the authentic scones, jams, soup, sandwiches and other - homemade from scratch - treats and the large selection of teas. The Senior Tea was a highlight for me and my friends, but a solo pasty and pie always hits the spot. I have tried many of the pastries and everything has been delicious. I'll be back soon.

Charming and cheerful place. The food was outstanding with the freshest quality. Went for lunch and was surprised with the very large servings and choices. Could not leave without taking home pie and pastries. Warm and wonderful delight to do alone or with others. You will not be disappointed. Well worth the stop.

All the dishes were home made from classic English family recipes. There is a wide choice of lose leaf teas. The high tea service is highly recommended.

It has to be my favorite place to eat and meet with friends. The staff is always cheery and and quick to answer any questions I may have.
I too am a fan of the chicken salad sandwhich. Although I can honestly say everthing I have ate there is just fabulous and will keep me and my friends comming back for more.
