It's my 34 yr old daughter's birthday and she is a Vegan. I emailed the owner to find out if they would accommodate her diet request, the owner said yes and when I made the reservation to tell them of my request. I did as she suggested. When we got there our table was not available and they seated us in a room where the voice volume was so loud, I could not hear my daughter talking. The owner came over and introduced herself and made a rude comment on my daughter's tattoo on her neck. The waitress came over and said they have no vegan food and the only thing they can give her was a salad. We had to ask for water with a unhappy look from the waitress. We left and I put a $20 bill on the table - I don't know why?? I own a small business too! I would never say to a new or existing customer that I could accommodate them when I couldn't. That is bad business and to top it off insult my adult daughter too. TO THE OWNER: You see we had other choices, we choose you, who was rude, lied and never planned to be accommodating - THE RESULT: an unhappy potential new customer that will tell many many people, never go back and write this review. THE QUESTION: was it worth it?

We were told on the phone that they could swap out meat tea sandwiches for something else, we eat cheese and egg. When we got there we told we would only be able to order the lite fare no tea sandwiches. The owner thought my friend who is only six years older than me might be my mother. She does have white hair and I dye mine but still it is best not to guess at these things. The portions are very small. One little scone costs five dollars. The server seemed hyper.

      Tearoom response:

We are very sorry for making a mistake. We try to improve our service and fare everyday. A scone with homemade toppings are $4.00. Thank you for letting us know your concerns. Please try us again.

Very nice tea room with excellent food and outstanding service. The food portions are a bit small though and the variety of offered teas is smaller than at other tea rooms..

      Tearoom response:

Hi Ralph - Thanks for your rating of our teahouse, it is very much appreciated. I have spoken to the kitchen to up our sizes a bit and our tea selection will increase as we grow. We are only less than 2 months young. Thanks again my friend.
