My husband and I had to pleasure of having tea at Victorian Grace tea house this past Saturday. What an absolutely outstanding experience! We have had tea at Harrod's in London (England), the Drake Hotel in Chicago, and most recently-The Plaza Hotel in New York City. I am confident in saying the quality of food and service of Victorian Grace surpasses The Plaza Hotel in NYC, and the Drake Hotel in Chicago, and The Grand Floridian in Orlando- it is on par with Harrod's in London. Thank you to the owner and staff for a beautiful and blessed beginning of our 25th anniversary celebration!!

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! My mom and I came to visit Grandma in Florida and have tea hopped for a few years in Michigan and Florida, Victorian Grace is at the top of the list! Gloria was as gracious as could be, the food and soup was very delicious and the decor of the different rooms are charming and sweet. Highly recommend this hidden treasure! Can't wait to come back.

My best friend and I run away occasionally for a Girls Weekend. We always include a stop at a local Tea House. We have tried numerous tea houses thru out the state of Florida and Victorian Grace always comes out as our favorite! I have never had a bad experience at Victorian Grace! The food is wonderful! My favorite is the chicken and wild rice soup although the tomato basil is a close second. The tea is always steeped to perfection. The place is always spotless, you can tell the owner takes pride in what she does. You can't go wrong with a visit to Victorian Grace, my FAVORITE tea house in the State of Florida!

My daughter, grandchildren and I have visited this tearoom multiple times for the past several years and are never disappointed by the owner's consistent decorum and service. Victorian Grace offers an exceptional menu with many delectable teas to select from, and we have never once received anything less than 5-star service all around!

My friends and I had an absolutely delightful experience at Victorian Grace today. My girlfriends and I walked into a beautiful Victorian setting and it only went up from there. The food was superb and the service excellent. Because it was Fall we had our choice of seasonal foods or the regular fare. We chose to go seasonal all the way and we certainly weren't disappointed. From a wonderful pumpkin soup to a fabulous pumpkin and white chocolate scone, it was first class all the way. I will certainly be spreading the news about the discovery of Victorian Grace in Brandon, FL.

My parents and I had a fantastic experience at Victorian Grace and have already started talking about another visit even though it is 2 hours away! We started with the delicious almond cranberry tea and also loved the apple cinnamon! The tea sets are so beautiful and authentic and the whole decor of the tea house is adorable! But hands-down, the best part for me was the food! Started with an amazing chicken cream rice soup (my mom loved the pumpkin soup as well), then delicious broccoli quiche bites, cucumber sandwiches, chicken salad croissant, and then... The most delectable caramel scone with Devonshire cream that I have ever tasted! The dessert bites of chocolate gooey cake and pumpkin cheesecake bites were really good too! I would absolutely recommend this tearoom for any special occasion!

This was my third visit to the tearoom, the second with my mother and daughter. It is a bit of a tradition now because this tearoom is very intimate, cozy, colorful and delicious. We drank naturally decaffeinated tea for medical reasons but the taste was not compromised. Our favorite food item was the scones and cream and they are perfect with the tea. Service was impeccable, as usual. We would highly recommend this tearoom for other generations of women to visit to reconnect and bond with one another. The atmosphere is feminine and calm.

First time to this place and it was horrible. Place is old, dusty, display out dated and the place has a moldy smell. The service was lacking, I believe the owner with the British accent-pushy and unfriendly. If you are use to 4-5 star this is not the place. Try Disney Floridian hotel tea house by the garden, now that's up scale and with class. Go to a real tea house, not an old run down house with odd decor.

Victorian Grace is one of the best tea rooms in the Tampa Bay Area. Their food and service has always been wonderful. In relation to the shocking review below, why would you go to a specialty restaurant with a fixed menu and not order anything. There are very few fine dining restaurants (if any) that let a group come in and take up a table, only to order a soda. It doesn't happen. The owner and her employees have always treated all of their customers with respect. Just because your group didn't have any common sense doesn't mean that her business should suffer for it! Five stars all the way around!

Unfortunately the most unprofessional and disrespectful experience we have ever had. Went with wife and family for the first time. Half of the group ordered lunch the other half really was not hungry and we all ordered tea which was great. 15 min later the owner or manager came by the table and told us this was not a place to come and drink tea only and we either ordered lunch or we had to leave and drink tea somewhere else. Needless to say we were shocked. There was no compromise. Sad thing this was my day off from work and we had traveled over an hour to enjoy the tea experience. We we're never told about any particular rules regarding having to order lunch with the tea when we made reservations either. This owner was not interested in negotiating or pleasing the customer. She was only interested in the bottom line profit rather than the customer experience. Ironically we were going to buy likely two or three times as much on tea products that day. I have never rated a place so low but integrity and service are as important as the product itself and we consumers should demand such. Dont support this business mentality. Spend your time and money somewhere else.

This is by far the best tea room I've ever been too- and that's including the Grand Floridian! My mother and grandmother and I are regulars here. We take the day to relax and spend time together in one of the private rooms and are able to enjoy ourselves while feeling like we've gone back to a simpler era. The tomato basil soup is fantastic and for the vegetarians out there the egg salad sandwich is to die for! They are very accommodating about special requests like a vegetarian tea, just tell them when you make the reservation and all is taken care of. Definitely go for the holiday tea offered at Christmas time, it's well worth it!

My sister and I were recently in Florida on vacation and decided to stop at the Victorian Grace Tea Room on our way back to Orlando. We had a wonderful Tea experience. The setting is charming and all of the food was delicious! Each course was a delight and introduced new enjoyable flavors. The wait staff was helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful relaxing time in a beautiful Victorian setting. We have been to many teas over the years and this rates as one of the best. The only surprise was that if you selected a tea other than the featured tea of the day it was an additional charge.

Celebrating two birthdays on 1/28/2015 with friends. We encountered a very rude owner/server that wanted to ensure she was inconvenienced by a simple question/inquiry and had a horrible attitude. She lacked true customer service and interaction skills. We have frequently visited this tearoom on numerous occasions with several people and never experienced this type of service. While the food and teas are delicious and the decor is sweet, this experience has definitely impacted us to NOT return. The woman was confrontational and argumentative. I will not be returning! Not sure if she is part owner or just a server, but her skills need polishing when handling he public. Her behavior is not what one would want to emulate and frankly, she should have been gracious and hospitipal. No excuses!

Beautiful! Everything about this Tea Room is beyond amazing. I've been to a few tea rooms and this one is by far the best. If you're vegetarian, you can eat here....everything! Other tea rooms, tend to have meat....which you can't request to opt out of. Here you get to choose between the chicken rice soup (I've been told is amazing) or a tomato basil soup which is the best I have ever had. The teas are so perfect. And they even have sugar cubes! A must! Tons of antiques here! The atmosphere is perfect! Perfect! There is one large room and 4 private rooms!

My teenage daughter and I love going to tea and try to go about once a month. We live in the New Port Richey area and have tried most of the tea rooms in the Tampa Bay area. We also try out tea rooms when we travel. We decided to drive over to Brandon to try out Victoria Grace the other day. It had so many great reviews, we had to see what it was all about! I can tell you...the excellent reviews are very deserved!!! Both ladies who waited on us were probably the nicest hosts we have ever had at tea. The different rooms were adorable and the food was outstanding. Pumpkin soup with a pumpkin shaped crouton, the feta tart, the chicken salad...all of it was delicious. The highlight however had to be the scones. They were cranberry, white chocolate and they were by far the best scones I have EVER had!! If you love tea, you must try Victoria Grace!!

Our group of 25, including three children, went this weekend for a celebration for a church member. Everything was perfect. Service was exceptional. We were a bit disorganized but Victorian Grace had it all under control. All 25 loved it. Food was wonderful. The Devonshire cream rivaled anything one might get in England and we had to stop ourselves from eating by the spoonful. I loved the tomato soup but the chicken soup got rave reviews. The children's tea was delightful too. They went all out on every detail. We were so impressed already have reservations for their special holiday tea.

We chose this tea room at the last minute for an impromptu bridal shower. To further complicate matters, we had two diet-restricted parties and added two people--again at the eleventh hour. Not only was everything lovely and in place, but the owners enhanced their already impeccable quality of service by going out of their way to provide us with desserts for those with diet restrictions. I cannot wait to return and it is truly ineffable how outstanding everything was. We had a delightful time and the bride-to-be said she felt like royalty. I really don't know anything about the variety or artistry of the tea since I arrived late to the event I was attending. As a coffee drinker I thought the tea was very enjoyable and I drank several cups. I have never been to a tea room before and I thought the ambiance was sweet and fun. We were in the 'Gone with the Wind' room and it was lovely. The presentation of the room and the food was awesome! We had soup to start. I had the tomato basil which was good. A bit sweet, I thought it could use parmesan cheese but it wasn't a deal breaker. For the following course we were given a 4-tiered serving tray. The chicken salad on croissant was delicious (be careful if you are allergic to nuts as there are small chunks of walnut in it). The pimiento cheese in fillo cup was fun. The scones, oh the scones. We had white chocolate and cinnamon chip. I've eaten a lot of scones in my life and these were by far the best I've ever had. I even bought all the ones they had left to take home! Also included on the serving tray was a dill and cucumber finger sandwich, an individual cherry cheesecake, and a small German chocolate cake square. The presentation was just beautiful. Each plate, cup, serving dish, and serving utensil was unique. The staff were friendly and we were able to speak with not only our server but the owner and the chef as well; each person came to check in with us. All in all I am thoroughly impressed and will be introducing other friends to this sweet tea spot. What a hidden gem!!

was just surprised that the review left by Christy was so ridiculous to expect a good outcome for 6 4 yr olds to a tearoom! Most of us go to tearooms to relax and enjoy the atmosphere and 4 yr olds cannot enjoy a tea party. it is silly to think that you can control 4 yr olds with 6 of them together. go to chuck e cheese or bring your own 4 yr old with you to enjoy but not 6 of them they can't help it at that age!

I booked a tea party for my daughter for her birthday When I got there I informed the staff on two occasions that I had never been to a tea room before and therefore knew nothing about the experience. I made reservations for lunch and was given the afternoon tea which was double the price they never verified reservations or explained anything. I had 6 4 yr olds with me so when I paid I gave a credit card never imagining I was being taken advantage of. When I got home and got on the website to verify what I thought happened, I then called to talk to the owner. She was not helpful and just said well you never said anything when the food was coming out, again stressing I explained I had never done this so I would not have known any different. Still just an oh well Im sorry. I will never visit this place again nor would I ever recommend it to anyone else.

Victorian Grace is exactly as its name implies: it offers a dynamic decadence respective of its theme. It is truly remarkable to see and experience how their dishes maintain their elegance while offering myself a new, equally - if not more so - satisfiable palate time and time again. Most notably, of course, are their precisely brewed teas; their rich soups; and their beautiful three-tier platters of the Afternoon Tea which can accommodate even the hungriest of customers. The staff members are very pleasant and understand their work very well, ensuring ourselves both a visually appealing and meaningful experience. My grandmother, mother, and myself appreciate the service provided by Victorian Grace very much, and after much experience feel it is rightfully superior to many of its other competitors.

Had afternoon tea last Saturday and cannot say enough about the quality of EVERYTHING we were served. Usually there are one or two items I can do without when I've been to other tea rooms, but not here. From the creamed chicken and rice soup to the final desserts (which I ended up taking home bacause I was stuffed--another unusual occurrence at most tea rooms), I was utterly delighted with quality and quantity. Our flavor of tea was the black apricot. Very good. I am going back the first of August with a friend who is never been their before and I am excited to share this lovely tea room with her. Victorian Grace is by far the best tea room in the area. It shines above the rest with the quality of their food from the homemade chicken salad, soups, and without a doubt, the homemade scones. The apple and caramel recipe made on Mother's Day was out of this world! Very relaxing environment allowing your visit to last as long as you'd like without feeling rushed. Victorian Grace is the tearoom I recommend to all my friends who want a wonderful experience and/or to celebrate a special occasion.

*My first experience at Victorian Grace was many yrs ago w/a lovely group of ladies for a business 'social'. I was immediately awed at the charm, serenity and ambience of a by-gone era of grace and elegance. It makes you remember why it feels so good to be a lady. All I good think of were all the friends I wanted to share this amazing place with and I have so often thru the years! The service is incredible and the food is always delicious! (The scones are truly the best; recipe obviously passed down through generations, I would imagine...made w/love!) *We just left from a Mother's Day tea and it was beyond lovely. I was faced with a project that I had little experience with, hosting a high tea at an open house event. I placed a call to the experts at Victorian Grace, and asked if I could observe how the professionals do it, and without reservation, I was invited over. After a long stretch of intense work in New york, I made a trip down to Tampa, Florida for some well earned rest and relaxation. My ultimate goal when I got there was to visit the Victorian Grace Tea Room as always. You see, it has become a small taste of Heaven for me: a place of transquility, relaxation, and serene joy with friends and family, Upon entering the premises, as expected, all stress and tension rolled away, as waves and waves of peace and calm seeped in. The tea, an herbal raspberry blend, made specially for me, was delicious. The mouth-watering scones as usual were the highlight of the meal. The chicken and rice soup, my favorite, was served hot. I left, satisfied, fulfilled and wanting to go back and experience it all over again....guess what? I am making another trip on Sept 20th to Tamps and will definitely visit the tearoom again. Come and enjoy this timeless experience with me......see you there.

I have been visiting the Victorian Grace Tearoom ever since I was a little girl on my summer vacations to Florida. I am now 17 and still filled with excitement to go to teatime! I can frankly say even up to this very day as I walk into the Victorian Grace Tearoom, I feel like I've escaped reality and entered into a new enchanted world, just like Alice in Wonderland. I've visited other tearooms, including the one at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York, but it just doesn't seem to compare. Victorian Grace has many cute items and themed rooms enjoyable for men, women, and children. They have such a wide variety of teas. Besides the tea, I must mention they have the best food! Their soups are delicious as well as their sandwiches. Then come the famous Victorian Grace scones that simply just melt in your mouth. You will never find a scone like that elsewhere. To top it all off, they never fail to surprise you with a variety of tasty desserts. The service at Victorian Grace Tearoom is like no other. Victorian Grace Tearoom is definitely the place to go to relax, to spend time with family and friends, and to just have a great time. I give you five stars and two thumbs up Victorian Grace; can't wait for next summer!

I had the opportunity to visit Florida once again, and as always having tea at Victorian Grace is one of the highlights of trip. I went with my family from New York and the grandchildren had a blast. My granddaughter was treated like a princess - having just visited Disney World. The food is scrumptuous as usual and the soup was really delicious. The decor of the teashop is breath taking. If you are looking for a gift - here is where you will find gift ideas, including jewelry, a variety of teas, books, fine china, etc. If you need to get away for a bit or need to have a cozy moment with friends and family - this is the place to go. I would certainly recommend this tea shop if you are in the area.

I took my 5yr-old daughter to this tearoom today and we both had such a great time! I knew my daughter would be so excited to have a lunch there since she loves anything girly:) She just couldn't stop telling me about everything she was looking at in the room. The china ware, wall decorations, curtains, tea pot etc! Luckily there was only one lady having lunch in the same room. The hostess ladies were so kind and friendly, and the food was excellent! I had the Afternoon Tea and my daughter the Princess Tea. The soup!!! Soup was amazing and I liked both Tomato-basil and the creamy chicken one.SO GOOD! And needless to say, their scones are so unbelievable. I liked the chicken salad in a croissant as well. Just the soup and scone was worth the 50- mile drive:) After we finished, one of the hostess women showed us 4 other rooms. Each one was so intimate and cute. We'll go back there soon with daddy and grandma as my daughter suggested during the lunch today:)

My husband and I decided to take a trip down to Brandon, Florida (we are from Connecticut) to go to my best friend’s wedding two weeks ago. I had heard about this cute little tea shop that was close by, and so, we decided to visit. The tea shop was amazing, from the décor to the food. The staff was friendly. We had so many little treats to eat, but my favorite was the scone. The scone has a hint of coconut (and I was a little apprehensive about it, because I don’t like coconut) and it was so soft – very delicious. I loved their chicken cream soup. My husband liked the cucumber sandwiches. We must have had ten cups of tea in one sitting, the honey pearls were a nice touch. We sat there for hours and didn’t even realize the time that passed by. When we left, we had to get some tea for home and every time I have a sip, I will remember our sweet experience at the Victorian Grace tea shop :) Who knew that such a delightful place could be tucked in Brandon?

Passing through central Florida only a couple of weeks after we closed our top-rated tea room in NC, we were blessed when Loraine from Victorian Grace said she could work in our party of 6 on a busy Saturday with only an hour's notice. When we arrived early, our table was elegantly set -- in the Rose Room, of all places! The entire tea room was tastefully decorated (not cluttered and tacky as another highly rated Florida establishment had been). The food was a feast for the eyes and the palate, and our service from Gabby, Loraine and her family was friendly and attentive. We've always believed that customers may come for the surroundings and the tea tradition one time, but excellent food and warm hospitality will keep them coming back again and again. Countless times we have driven down North Parsons Avenue in Brandon and just continued past the little pink house containing the Victoria Grace Tea Room and Gift Shop. Recently my wife saw it again and thought it would be nice to stop in sometime and enjoy lunch. When we got home I pulled up the Tea Room web page and read all the reviews. Now really, nobody was going to measure up to all the superlatives in those reviews. But at my wife, Maggie’s urging, the next day, we went. We were cordially greeted at the door by Loraine, the owner, who led us to a private room and left us to contemplate the menu. After a pleasant wait in an artfully decorated room we placed our order for the Afternoon tea. The soup arrived and … it was delicious. Just as described in the reviews. The chicken salad on a croissant was excellent. The scones with the Devonshire cream were outstanding. All in all a very tasteful and tasty way to enjoy lunch. We’ll be reminded of that episode each time we pass the little pink house and yes we’ll do it again

There is no question as to why Victorian Grace is rated the # 1 tea room in Florida. You do not just go for the amazingly delicious food, but you also go for the experience. the entire place is gorgeous and feels like a true tea room with the private rooms with quaint decorations. My family and I have tried more than a few tearooms around the area, and we know why we always keep Victorian Grace at the top of our list... nothing else can compare! I think another distinguishing feature that I appreciate about this tea room is the variety of their foods on the three-tiered tray. they have the yummy classics, but they keep the tray very unique by adding delicious homemade petite desserts and scones with cool flavors to complement the tea of the day. i quite honestly think i could live off this tea room's food and be very happy! It was truly a unique and very pleasant experience!I cannot not think of a nicer atmosphere to share a cup of tea with loved ones! The decor is warm and cozy. Every item on the menu was choiced, tasty and very carefully presented. Best of all was the friendly and courteous staff! I will definetly tell my friends to visit and cannot wait to do it again myself. - Shanti 01/04/2012

For the past four years I have visited the Victorian Grace tea room at least once a year. The service, food and ambiance continue to exceed my expectations year after year. This year, I had the pleasure of sampling the 'holiday tea', one of the best teas I have tasted so far. The holiday decor was very tastefully done and added that extra glow for the festive season. The service was excellent with a very courteous staff. Kudos to Loraine, Steven, Christina and Brian!! I would highly recommend a visit to this tea room. I can't wait for next year!!!

Victorian Grace is a very special place! By far it is the nicest place to relax and unwind in town. The service is impeccable. The atmosphere is calming and the individual rooms are just charming. The teas and food are out of this world! Victorian Grace has the best soups and the scones are to die for. I've visited with family and bring friends when they are in town. My work team has even scheduled functions here - it is that good! Thank you Lorraine and your staff for always providing a quality tea experience!

My friends, Levonia Matheny, Lisa Matheny Mart, and Lynn Matheny Culbreth and I were there today and we felt very pampered and relaxed. Lorraine and her staff served up delicious soup, scones (best ever!), finger sandwiches, to-die-for desserts and wonderfully tasty tea, all served in a tearoom that is delightfully decorated and elegant. Our experience at Victorian Grace could not have been better! We will return again and again! Thanks Lorraine and staff, for a wonderful afternoon!

Victorian Grace is by far the best Tea Room in the Tampa area. It is exquisitely decorated, offering a wide variety of teas, gifts, and beautiful tea-lover accessories. It can accomodate a large group, or if you prefer, you can have your own private room to relax and enjoy your tea in quiet comfort. The food is fantastic including my favorite, pumpkin soup. And best of all are the scones. I have eaten at most of the tea rooms in this area and not one of them has scones that can come close to the ones at Victorian Grace. You really need to get your girlfriends together and try this lovely spot for a delicious luncheon or high tea. It's fabulous!!!

Victorian Grace Tearoom is one of the best tearooms that I have ever been to. Everything was just wonderful! My friends and I went for the Afternoon Tea and it was delicious! The cream of chicken and wildrice soup is definitely my favorite soup. Also, everything on the beautiful three-tier tray was freshly made. Now what can I say about the scones? They were warm and fluffy and so tasty, made even better by the devonshire cream...yum! Aside from the food, the service was impeccable and the staff made you feel as if you were lifelong friends. The tearoom itself was beautifully decorated and very peaceful. This tearoom is definitely deserving of its Number 1 spot. I can't wait to come back soon!

First I would like to say that I have been to many tea rooms in different cities in Canada and United States and I found Victoria Grace to be one of my very favourites. Two girlfriends and I had to pleasure of visiting there for our first time in July and all three of us enjoyed our experience very much. We odered a soup and the hight tea, the soup was delicious and so was the high tea. In comparing high teas with many tea rooms I personally have been to, Victoria Grace offered larger portions and we were all full once done eating. Everything was very fresh and tasty. I have been to some tea places that charge more and the sandwhich sizes are tiny and leave you hungry and the teas are tasteless. We found the atmosphere of each room very pleasant and we took lots of pictures which I will upload here shortly. They had some nice gifts and I purchased a few things for myself. I am sorry Janice's experience was not as pleasant as most people but I think they deserve a second chance to make it better. We can't wait to go back and will as soon as possible.

I won't be back to this tea room. Watched from one of the side rooms as a little old lady questioned her change back to which the clerk jumped all over her and almost made the lady cry. When I was waited on, it was as though they served me because they 'had to'. 50.00 for tea for 2 is too expensive for a small bowl of soup, a few finger sandwiches and bisquick with cinnamon chips scones-- I won't be back.

My daughter absolutely loves tea and tea parties and being a princess, so for her 3rd birthday I thought I would take her to a real tea room to enjoy the ambiance. Victorian Grace did not disappoint. She had a marvelous time. Her Princess Tea was just perfect. They served her her own pot of decaf peach tea and gave me an apricot black tea. Both were delicious. My meal was perfect. Being a vegetarian they were more than happy to oblige me with a greens croissant that was to die for. I cannot stress how wonderful everything was. They made my daughter's birthday unforgettable. It is the perfect place for a special occasion.

Treated myself to tea at Victorian Grace today and everything about my visit was amazing, starting with the service. The teenage boy (the owner's son?) who served me was very friendly, as were the owner and another employee. The chicken and rice soup started it off right and everything else was just as wonderful! The scone was to die for with drops of cinnamon and white chocolate chips that were just starting to melt as the scone was still warm...so tasty with the Devonshire cream! And I loved that the sandwiches went beyond the standard fare with a little something extra to make them special. The cucumber and chicken salad were very tasty but my favorite was definitely the homemade pimento cheese. Ended perfectly with a pina colada dart and a chocolate strawberry. Not picking your own tea doesn't matter when the tea of the day (Passion Fruit) is so good! I plan to go back very soon!

Their scones are amazing, very tasty. The only thing I don't like is that you can't pick which tea you want. I prefer typical english tea (black tea, milk and sugar) and usually their tea of the day is a fruit flavored tea. Other than that...that atmosphere is great and the food is good. Go with your friends and family you'll have a great a time. The owners if the tea room are friendly and have great customer service.

When giving reviews for businesses or products I try to steer away from giving all Excellents or all poors. This time I just can't help it! This teahouse is absolutely amazing. When you walk in the door you are transformed into a different world. Think about when you were a little girl, playing tea party with your stuffed animals and dolls. This tea room is a grown up version of that. From the room that feels like you are in a doll house, to the Gone With the Wind room, or the intimate room for two. All are decorated with charm that is sure to delight everyone. The food is AMAZING. The creamy chicken soup, the chicken salad croissants, and the to die for scones with fresh cream will leave you thinking about them long after you have left the tea room. I am not a dainty girly-girl type, but this tea room makes me want to put on my hat and boa and enjoy a special time with close friends. I highly recommend this tea shop to anyone. I am not associated with this tearoom, owners or friends and do not have a dog in this fight, but there are many out there who try to ruin someone's business for what reason I do not knoe. I do reviews for a living- I was quite surprised that someone had rated this tearoom as a #1. Actually if they traveled around the state & visited all of the other tearooms they would not be so quick to give it such great ratings. It should not be on the top of the list- some of the food was not up there! I heard that sometimes friends of the owners will write the reviews to boost business & that would be a shame! It really would not be fair to the future customers! Can not always judge by all the good reviews! And might I add that I am not an enemy of the Victorian Grace tearoom- just an honest & knowledgeable reviewer!!

Induge your 'inner woman' and travel back to a byegone era when women worked even harder than ever and were 'laced in' and wore hard to iron, uncomfortable clothing. Don't forget though that they relaxed and enjoyed lovely tea parties in beautiful surroundings. But wait! You can enjoy all the plus and none of the minus; visit Victorian Grace Tea Room in Brandon and wear whatever you please (although it's fun dress up). The food is outstanding, the tea (and wonderful soups) are hot and perfect! Make sure you check out the powder room (certainly not a period outhouse) and feel totally feminine. What a treat!

We traveled from Jacksonville to see for ourselves why this tearoom is rated #1 on teamap. We travel around looking for good tearooms. The afternoon tea that we ordered did not state on the menu that it was for one person & that if we shared it - that the price of $19.95 would be doubled. First we must say that the cream of chicken & wild rice soup was very good & the chicken salad sandwich was good & the cucumber sandwich was good but the rest of the tray was not good. The spinach tart, the scones & the petit fours were not good. I had english breakfast tea & it was not good. The service was good since we were waited on by the owner. We found that the price for the tray was too high for what you actually got. And the tearoom actually is too over done with clutter. Probably will not go back.

My first impression of the place was: quaint. When I walked in, I saw a number of private rooms, each themed uniquely. These rooms are used for private parties and gives the party a sense intimacy. Before I even tasted the tea, I was in love with it. The aroma emanating from the pot was intoxicating. It was Boston Tea (which was the tea of the day). The taste did not disappoint and lived up to its aroma. The food that followed was just as good as the tea. The soup that I had (chicken and wild rice) was flavorful, hot, and delicious! I drank every last drop. The chicken salad croissant and finger sandwiches were EXCELLENT. And need I even tell you about the scone and Devonshire cream?! Just melted in my mouth. Decadent desserts also came with the afternoon tea. I would recommend this tea room to anyone wishing to have an enjoyable, high class tea experience.

Best tea room ever! I only gave a 'good' for 'variety of fine teas offered' because chai tea was not an option; however, they did have a variety of other great tasting teas. Food was amazing-it was beyond expectations. Everything was made fresh and right on the premises. I am not a soup person but only drank the soup because it came with the afternoon tea and I must admit...it was extrememly delicious! Best scones EVER but the recipe is a well-guarded family secret! The atomosphere was inviting and friendly; the decorations created an ambience of being in an authentic tea room. The only downfall was that price only included the Tea of the Day and if you wanted to pick another type of tea, it would be an extra $4 on top of the price. Of all of the tea rooms I've been too, this is by far the best experience I've had and it's well worth the price.

Once a month, my 3 dear friends and I visit a tea house for the sheer joy of each other's company. We pick a new one every month. We liked Victorian Grace so much, we decided to return to it the next month...today. Their service is amazingly friendly. Their food is wonderful. I highly recommend this establishment!

My mom and I have been going here for about two years. We try to make it there at least once a month, because we love it there so much. We have tried other tea rooms, but they just do not compare. The food and service here are amazing. Your glass never gets empty and you never leave hungry. The people are always so friendly which is a HUGE plus, because we have seen some terrible service at some of the tea rooms we have gone too...You will not be disappointed if you go here, but if you go on a Saturday...it might be a little pricey, so be prepared $$$.

Every lady should go and experience the elegance of this Tearoom.

The food presentation was lovely and the food delicious! All of the ladies were so nice. We ate in the Gone With The Wind Room. It was so pretty. Excellent! Delicious! I visit the Victorian Grace Tea Room almost every time I visit Tampa which is on the average of 2-3 times a year. It is a must for me. I am from New York and I have visited what is considered the best in New York, but it does not in anyway compare to the Victorian Grace Tea Room. The elegance, style and comfort is everything one could hope for when setting out to enjoy an afternoon tea with friends and family. The tea I have had is the finest flavored black tea served in delicate fine china, and even though the tea is the central experience, I must share with you the food experience as well. Victorian Grace serves mouth-watering scones with a different twist every time I go, blueberry with white chocolate chips, lemon zest with lemon glaze, fresh strawberry, cherries etc. An assortment of finger sandwiches and desserts accompany the tea as well. The price is excellent and the service welcoming, warm and friendly without being intrusive. My words do not do justice to the tea experience at the Victorian Grace. I encourage you to try it for yourselves. You will not regret it, but will want to, like myself, repeat it as often as you can.

I have visited the Victorian Grace Tea Room on several occasions and felt I must post a comment about my experience since with every visit there is always new things to experience. I truly love the hanging teapots and cups & saucers as you drive through the the parking area. The attention to detail is what makes this tea room stands out. As I entered in, I am always in awe of the beauty and elegance of this tearoom. The private rooms, each done in a special theme seems to be a big hit with customers since they are usually full. My favorite is the Lavender Room. The food is exceptional with the creamy pumpkin soup being my favorite . I have also had the creamy chicken and wild rice and that's very good also. The scones are the best I've had anywhere and the desserts I always have to take home since I can't seem to finish everything on the tray. Your cranberry autumn tea is probably my new favorite now. Service at this tearoom is excellent and the staff is very accommodating and very friendly- Carolyn is very pleasant and very helpful (thanks for letting me know about the antique place next door). My friends and I are looking forward to our next visit -this is a special place for us. Keep up the good work. This tearoom is truly a gem. Shirley

This was my third time at the tea room and it was better than I remembered! The new renovations are charming and inviting. The summer tea was peach flavored. I'm not a huge fan of peach, but the tea was delicious- perfect as a refreshing summer beverage. As a light meal, I had the tomato basil soup, which was delectable. However, the scones continue to be the best item on the menu. The blueberry scone melted in my mouth into pure goodness! I am a vegetarian and it is hard for me to find places with a multitude of options. I did not come across such a problem at Victorian Grace. They have soups, salads, sandwiches, and a unique spinach/artichoke tart all of which are vegetarian. I'm sure on my next visit I will be surprised with yet another vegetarian friendly food item seeing as how they are constantly revamping their menu. The atmosphere still takes me into another world and the service is impeccable. I would definitely recommend Victorian Grace to anyone who wants to 'get away', have a relaxing afternoon, delicious tea and food, and great service.

My family enjoyed afternoon tea at Victorian Grace today. We were warmly greeted the minute we entered the tea room. We sat in the main tea room, which was beautifully decorated! Our eight year old son was with us, and one of the owners went out of her way to make sure his tea service included the foods he liked. The rest of us were delighted with the food. The cream of chicken and rice soup was excellent, as were the blueberry scones! My daughter and I loved the heart-shaped crouton that was sitting in the middle of the soup. Before leaving the tea room, our hostess gave us a tour of the other rooms in the tea shop. I would love to be seated in any of the charming rooms! We drove almost an hour to come to the tea room, and will definitely be back. We are looking forward to the holiday decorations and holiday menu choices. Thank you Victorian Grace!

I visited the Victorian Grace tearoom sometime in July. At first I was skeptical about going to the tearoom because I thought men don't go to tearooms. I didn't know what to expect. To my surprise I enjoyed every minute of the time I spent there. The decor and ambiance of the place was breathtaking to say the least. The food was quite delicious - very moist and tasty scones, the sandwiches were superb and the soup was very hearty, not forgetting the delicious pastries. The service was wonderful, very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the unlimited tea that was continuously served. All in all this is an amazing tearoom where you can also purchase fine china - one of a kind - and other beautiful home decorations. I know this is one place I will visit again when I am in Florida.

I went to this Tea Room on Friday, without reservations. Arrived around 11:40 AM and was seated right away. My husband and I were returning from a trip to the west coast and decided to stop here for Lunch and Tea. This place is absolutely amazing and so is the food! The Tea was an Apricot Tea and was so good, we drank at least three cups. The soup was wonderful and wish I had the recipe to make it. The scones were 'extremely' wonderful and the sandwiches were delighful and very good. The rooms are so inviting, you just don't want to leave. I will return here when I do a trip to the west coast and will stop here for Lunch and Tea again soon. Thank you for making my experience at the Victorian Grace such a pleasant one. The tea was so magnificent that I drank three full cups! The fresh Blueberry Scone was astonishing, but my favorite was The Soup Of The Day. The Tearoom it's self looked like a wonderful life-size dollhouse, I can imagine that it is every little girl's dream come true and by the looks of my mom it was every big girl's dream come true to. Where to start. No menu. Wasn't sure of price. Only offered tea of the day. My party of 5 all had place settings of a fork and knife. My setting was 2 knives which was fine, except for the dessert the bread pudding was sticky I could have used a fork. Service was horrible. Could not get the tea refilled. When the cold soup was brought she could have seen there was no tea since we had taken the lid off. A good server would have noticed. In fact my opinion if there are more than 3 people at a table maybe 2 pots of tea should be brought. Since they really don't hold much, either that or they don't fill them. Food was very good. Really the only problem was the soup was cold and for a TEA room we shouldn't have to have sat around with no tea to drink. Don't think I will be going back.

Victorian Grace had become the destination point for all of our family functions. It all started when I was 13 and my friends and family threw a surprise birthday party for me. As the mom of 2 boys, I do not get the 'girly' atmosphere at home often. It's sports, legos, and hotwheels so when I feel the urge to have a 'Lady' day I go to Victorian Grace Tea Room. From the time you arrive until you leave it is a peaceful and beautiful experience. The teas are so wondeful ( I have purchased several to drink at home) and the food is delicious. From the minute you even turn into the parking lot, visitors are greeted with cheerful surroundings including beautiful china glassware decorating the fences. The ladies who served us were extremely wonderful! I have no complaints! And that's all before the food and tea even came out! The tea was unique yet very tasty! Before being served the 3-tiered tray, we enjoyed the most delicious soup, better than any soup I have ever tasted! And the 3-tiered tray did not fail to keep up with the caliber of everything before it! The 3 tiered treats are all reminiscent of feel-good home cooking! Want to thank all at the victorian-Grace tea room for a most enjoyable afternoon on May 8. Though the room was full, the guest at our table talked and laughed as though we were the only ones in the room. When I looked around, I noticed that all the other ladies were enjoying themselves as much as we were. In this hurried 'ENTERTAIN ME' society, sometimes the best entertainment is sharing memories with those we love most. The food and service were excellent and tasty. My mother Gretta and I visited the tea room. We won't be back. I was reading other reviews from other people and I guess they are easily amazed. I have visited other tea rooms and have been treated a lot better and charged a lot less. It's very dark and very musty. It has that old funky old house smell. I nearly killed myself when the table cloth caught my heel. Luckily I caught myself. The customer service we got, I could have been on the floor bleeding for 10 minutes before someone would notice. The waitress talks down to you and is snooty. I can go on, but I won't. The bathroom was impressive though.

The food was good, but the customer service was bad. Not worth 50.00 for 2 people to have tea. It took forever to get another pot of tea. We waited for over 10 minutes while watching the server gossip at an adjoining table. Talk less next time and pay attention to the customer. It would also be nice to have a menu on the table with prices. It takes away from the shock at the register.

As having the title of Miss Teen Canada 2nd Runner Up, I've attended many fine functions with elegant settings. Victorian Grace is now added to my list of special memories. After having a very hectic week, I stopped at Victorian Grace I was looking for a quiet escape and that's exactly what I got from Victorian Grace. As a teenager with a severe peanut allergy the staff made a tremendous effort to ensure that my food was not contaminated with any peanut or nut products. In order to do that, the baker had to do a separate batch of scones for me. I felt very special knowing that they went out of their way to ensure that I had the best time I could have without the worry of what I could and could not eat. The staff were extremely friendly and very sweet, just like my delicious scones! To remember this day, I bought a ring from their gift shop. The jewelry is very beautiful I wanted to buy all of it! This tea room exceeded my expectations, I'll be sure to make another visit sometime very soon!

I would love to leave you a review, but I couldn't find ample parking to park and try out your tea room. You only have 5 parking spots and unfortunately we didn't get to try you out. I can't leave you an excellent review, because honestly I don't know what your tea room is like. Better Luck Next Time.

      Tearoom response:

      Dear Audrey,
Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. Yes, our parking that we have in front and behind our building and additional parking next door (at the Day Care Center) was probably full on the day you wanted to come. Even though we do take walk-ins (based on availability), it's a good idea to call ahead for a reservation since most of our tea times are usually booked. Hope to see you sometime.

I've been to many different tearooms in Florida and Victorian Grace has to be my favorite tearoom by far. It is beautifully decorated and is quiet enough to have a conversation with the people sitting with you. I went with a group of 6 and to our delight we were seated in the beautiful Gone With The Wind Room. Our server was quite cheerful and very attentive and the Paris Tea was perfect. The soups were also INCREDIBLE! The Creamy Chicken And Wild Rice was so tasty and my friends really enjoyed the Pumpkin soup. Also the scones were to die for! My favorite is the Cherry & White Chocolate but the Cinnamon Chip is just as amazing. And about the birds...The birds are wonderful. They add a very Victorian touch to the tearoom and besides they are near the entrance and nowhere near the kitchen or the customers. Thank you Victorian Grace for making my friends and I feel relaxed and pampered. We will definitely be returning soon!

It was my second visit to Victorian Grace and it won't be my last! The wild rice soup was rich and creamy and warmed us with the black currant tea on a chilly day. My favorites are the cinnamon scones. There were four of us and we were seated in our own room which made us feel even more special. A must for out of town guests or special friends.

Victorian Grace is a beautiful tearoom. It really does take you to that Victorian era. I liked the birds. The cage and birds are remininisence of the time period. Seriously, the bird cage is near the entrance and is not near the dining room or kitchen.

Wow... was I at the same tea room that 'tea lover was at'? As an avid tea lover, I vistited tea map and was really excited. Coming from Crystal River, we really had good expectations. My mother and I sat for 15 minutes waiting for a pot of tea that should only steep for 5 minutes. We nearly walked out twice and will be trying other places. For a highly ranked tea room, your service is not up to par. I also didn't like the nasty bird cage. Pooping animals and food do not mix.

This tea room lives up to their #1 ratings in Florida! I totally agree with the many rave reviews. The scones are divine! We've vistied a few others in the area but this teasure will remain my favourite spot. I had a chance to try the pumpkin soup ( I am a sceptic) and now I now I will be back for more. I had a chance to escape the real world the ambiance was perfect and I COULD ACTUALLY HEAR WHAT MY FRIENDS WERE SAYING. Normally the noice levels in restaurants prohibts good conversations. The service was great and I loved Caroline. Wish I had more time to spend in this tranquil world with wonderful food and teriffic atmosphere. Thanks for a treat.

Dear Victorian Grace Tea Room, I was so impressed by the amazing experience I had when I visited your tea room yesterday that I was moved to send you this note of thanks. I came in with a a group of 8 after only giving you very short notice and without hesitation you happily accommodated us. To begin, the atmosphere was exactly what we were needing after spending a hectic week traveling the US, the staff who met us at the door was so cheerful and our server spent much time chatting with us and making us feel welcomed. Our tea was the perfect temperature and the tasty food arrived in a timely fashion, but my favorite was the scones with are without a doubt the best I have ever had. The scones and the fresh cream was the heavenly part of this visit. (I had orange and white chocolate). I was happy to be one of the first customers to try your new sandwich which I LOVED. Over all Victorian Grace you exceeded my expectations, I love everything about your tea room and will be coming back very soon with many of my friends! What a treasure!!!!!

I should have read the other reviews before going to your Teahouse, obviously you did not read them either or you would see that the #1 complaint is SERVICE! At any point in time it is ludicrous to turn away clients but in this day and age to turn away 4 clients when there was only 1 car in the parking lot was beyond belief. website says tea is at 1:30 we got there at 1:40 ( so we where told),,, explain it so I can understand?

We decided to give Victorian Grace a try, however when we got there at 1:40 on Saturday, the hostess said they didn't offer lunch only tea, and we should have called ahead of time. My mom and I went into the tea room during the holidays to relax from our mad day of shopping. I loved the tea, but wished that we could have had a choice without being 'upcharged'. The food was pretty good, but by the time my mom and I left, we were so disenchanted that we decided that we will never go back. Like my mom said, food did not make up for lack of service. I understand that tea rooms - you are suppose to be 'left alone' but I really didn't like the 'attitude we got. I attended the Networking Tea for Women Business Owners on 11/12/09, and as always, it was a pleasant and fruitful experience. It was wonderful to meet business owners to learn about their products and services in such a beautiful locale that offered a delightful atmosphere. The food and tea offerings were decadent and delicious and the service was excellent. The menu included their tasty chicken salad served in a croissant, fresh, crisp salad greens with flavorful dressing, freshly baked cranberry scone with crème fresh, and dessert offerings that included a seasonal pumpkin flavor. Victorian Grace offers private tearooms that are beautifully themed, and the owner and staff are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I have had the privilege of visiting Tampa again and one of the highlights of my trip is the Victorian Tearoom. I went there quite a number of times and every time I go it exceeded my expectation. It's just as beautiful as ever. The ambiance quite serene and I feel so relaxed and peaceful. This is the place you want to be when you want to get away from the busyness of life. I really enjoyed the tea - I had black currant and it was brewed to perfection from whole leaf. I must have had about 6 cups of tea. It was quite refreshing. The food was very delicious - wild rice and chicken soup - very hearty and the chicken sandwich was very tasty. The mouth-watering scones just melts in your mouth. I also enjoyed browsing around the teashop - so much to see and buy. The staff at the the teashop were quite courteous and friendly. The atmosphere of elegance, beauty, and soothing tranquility that immedately surrounds you as you step into the Victorian Grace Tea Room is enough to keep you coming back again and again. Complete relaxation and peace takes over as you are seated. A Warm welcome and pleasant conversation with the host and Tea Room personnel then begins the whole experience... followed by a short period of great expectancy of what is to come. At this point, you are hoping beyond hope that the food is not downright awful and the atmosphere and warm and friendly welcome is not just to make up for what will be sadly lacking in the food. Then the tea arrives. It is served in the finest of China, by the gentlest of hands... and best of all, it is unlimited. Next comes the soup. Totally unexpected at tea time (for me) and marvellously delicious. Extremely Tasty and smooth. Finally, the grand finale..a three tiered server carrying the most mouth watering scones, sandwiches, and mini desserts all home made and fresh from the oven so to speak. You delve in, savoring each bite, trying desperatly to keep your mind on what the person next to you at your table is saying, and not wanting to appear an insatiable glutton....but the food is sooooo goood that you soon give up and give in to the eating. There is no rush. Plenty of time for conversation after. All in all, it exceeded my expectations in every aspect...ambiance, service, attitude, and food. I have visited to the Victorian Grace Tea Room each time I visited Tampa, since I reside in New York. I plan to go as many times as the opportunity arises in the future. It is a must for all, you do not want to miss this.....I highly recommend it for everyone for all occasions. It is not just Tea. It is an experience.

We had afternoon tea at VG on 8/28/09. We were a party of 11 people varing from different age groups, youngest being 7yrs old , a few teenagers and 3 couples. This was my first time there, but some of the people in my group have been there many times and could not stop raving about it. I figured it was just a tea room, I am from New York and had tea once at the Pierre in Manhattan many years ago ,afternoon tea there was a very nice experience but really expensive and it was just a resturant environment. I was not prepared for the truly charming VG tea experience. I was very impressed with everything there ,from the decor, to the four rooms with the different theme, the gift shop, the food which was excellent. The tea of the day was blackberry, the 7 yr old claimed it was the best tea he ever had in his whole life. I am not a soup person, but must say that the Chicken and wild rice was delicious. My favourite was the scones, truly amazing, so moist, melts in your mouth, OH WOW! Needless to say before my vacation was over I went back on 8/31/09 for tea with a different group of people before returning to New York. On both times we never made it to the top tier where the deserts were , so much food, I think they should definitely charge more for so much food. The secound time the tea of the day was Paris tea, they had to bring refills because we keep finishing the pot . They ladies were the best, friendly and very nice. It was like stepping into a make believe world where you can leave all your worries at the door. I came back to work and could not stop talking about my afternoon tea at VG. Wished they had another location a little closer to New York, I would be a frequent customer. Would highly recommend anyone visiting Tampa to check out VG for a yummy experience.

We sat in a room set/up for four, however, there were only two of us so we had the room to ourselves to get caught up on each others lives. The tea of the day was 'Paris', it was a delighful blend, I believe it is one of their more popular teas. I even bought a tin to take home as we are from New Port Richey, FL. Every tier held delicious treats, we were pleased we made the 1 hour trip! The soup was delicious too! Thanks VG, keep up the good work!

An excellent location for a quiet afternoon with good friends. The soup was delicious-- I have only tasted an equivalent in a 5-star restaurant. The scones were buttery and fresh and the cream was light. The preserves (which I had to request) were wonderful as well, and available for purchase in the charming tea shop. The service was attentive and polite, but not overbearing. It was an experience of refinement and beauty. The only suggestion is that guests be offered a selection of teas, rather than served the tea of the day (though the tea of the day was delicious). Thank you for a pleasant experience.

I booked a party for my 7 year old 6 weeks in advance. I called a week before to settle the details because I hadn't been called and they told me that they don't do 7 year old parties anymore..that they had recently changed their policy. Policy change I understand..not calling me to let me know..I don't understand. If I hadn't called...our guests would have shown up there. The staff didn't even apologize..they just stood their ground that this is their 'new' policy. Luckily...there was another tea room that agreed to do the party and they did a FANTASTIC job!!! By the way..I found out they did the same thing to someone else at my daughter's school. Not a good way to do business!!!!

I'm a tearoom aficionada (can't live in England and not delight in proper tea rituals) and Victorian Grace was No. 1 for me. Your scones, made from scratch, no mixes used here, with the hint of cinnamon and bits of white chocolate, were the very best I've experienced thus far. Tea of the day had a blackberry (?) flavor and was worth drinking 3 pots. Big score here. Food exceptional,,,your pastry chef is an artist both in presentation, appearance and taste. Special note: Cloth hand towels for drying one's hands.....lovely, noteworthy touch. Loved using hand cream as well. The soup was a light cream of chicken w/rice. The little heart shaped crouton...you are way ahead of the game. Chicken salad in croissant very pleasing as was everything on the sandwich tier. Thought the little birds (finches?) in their very Victorian home were sweet and an unusual welcome at the door. Thanks for helping us find a place to park...Busy day at the tearoom. The decor is totally in keeping with the name...Neat touches everywhere...teapots on the border paper, a cleverly designed cup/saucer chandelier over the area where one pays the bill. I did buy a couple of things in the gift shop. Big, Big Plus -- on such a busy street, no traffic sounds once you walk through the door. The service was way over the top with questions answered and information offered with every addition to our tea table. Thank you ladies for planting such a gem in the Brandon area. (I'm the person celebrating a very belated birthday - and you gave me a candle to make a wish....)Worth the trip, wherever you live. - Tiss Stevens

Thank you Victorian Grace! :) If you have never been to Victorian Grace I highly suggest it!!! I have been to other tea rooms in the area, but Victorian Grace is still my favorite!

I threw my cousin's baby shower at Victorian Grace. The room was lovely; the service was outstanding; and the food was absolutly delicious. I have visited other tea rooms in the area, and this is by far the best tea room I've seen. Wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend it to everyone; and will certainly be returning many times again, myself.

I attended the networking event in June 2009. What a wonderful experience. This tea room is so beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. They do not rush you and provide ample time to sample each step of the experience. The food was FANTASTIC!! I will be back next month.

This tea room is sooo disorganize. Whether they have 2 people or 20 people, they are sooo slow! And as soon as you walk-in, there is a 'smell'...(not a good smell). Not sure if it is the birds near the door, or they old carpet. There is only one person in the front and she can't handle the phone, the people and the the food. I will never go back to this place!

      Tearoom response:

Since we have had many compliments about our little finches that live in a beautiful Victorian style bird cage, we will continue to delight our customers (kids included) with their chirping. Our Victorian patterned carpet has received glowing remarks from our Loyal Tea Lovers since it was installed last year. Our staff is gracious & displays excellent customer service to all our customers. A tea experience should set one in the mood of relaxation and a light hearted attitude. So sorry you missed that experience but we will continue to maintain our high quality of food and service. Good luck finding a tea room that you can appreciate.

Hello! My name is Rachelle Castellana and today I attending the network luncheon held at Victorian Grace Tea Room once a month. It was a very warm and enjoyable environment! The staff handled everything without any curve balls! I even spilled the actual tea kettle on our table and they handled smoothly and quickly! Thank you, Ladies! Anyways, the tea was superb, delicious and hot! As far as the food, displayed with thought in mind and prepared with flavor! Delicious! For those looking to attend the networking at this location, I advise you to do so! It is well managed and the time each person is given to speak is controlled and not 'too long!' I plan on attending next month! Looking forward to a wonderful fashion show in July!

Our ladies church group visited Victorian Grace on 6-04-09. We all absolutely loved it. They had little tiny finches in a beautiful bird cage and my baby was absolutely mesmerized by them (she is 5 months). The food was delicious, especially the cream of chicken and rice soup and the savoury tart. The desserts were also very good. My only complaint is that we were served passionfruit tea instead of a traditional tea, but when we asked an excellent pot of earl grey was brought out. Everyone was very friendly and we will definately be coming back!

My mom and I have been to almost all the tearooms in the Tampa Bay area, and today, after going to this, must say that it is one of the best! Each room was decorated so beautifully and charming. The food was delicious--espically the spinach tart!! Oh my gosh--I loved, loved, loved it! (And I am not a fan of spinach--but I could seriously eat that everyday!) All the desserts were wonderful! My favorite was the orange cake--I just wished it was bigger, since it was SO good! I could have eaten a giant slice of that! :-) We had such a wonderful, relaxing experience. I'm so happy they left the teapot on the table, so we could truly enjoy ourselves, without constantly being interupped. Can't wait to go back!

I went to the Victorian Grace Tea for a bridal shower and it was one of the best event locations I've ever been to. The atmosphere and decor encouraged us to get dressed up and embody the Victorian era and tea culture. It just encouraged everyone to be very girlie and enjoy the moment. But ultimately, I would go back for the quality of the food - which was impeccable! I'd heard about it before I got there but it surpassed my expectations. The scones are particularly exquisite - not too heavy, not too light - just perfect. The chicken salad (which I normally don't like) was the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, I live in NY and can't go back often, but I'm totally envious to those who can sneak away and escape to this delectable tea room with a girl friend or by your self and savor delicious food in an equally appetizing environment.

I went to Victorian Grace for a friend's bridal shower, and had a fabulous time. My mother and grandmother are English, so I am very familiar with tearooms, and I have to say that this was the most traditional teahouse I've been to in the US, with the highest quality of food/teas that I've ever had. I really felt like I was stepping into an old-fashioned tearoom in England. The tea was served perfectly - it was piping hot the entire time. Since I'm used to my grandmother always sending tea back because it's too 'cold', this was a pleasant surprise. I commented how I appreciated this touch to the hostess, and she told me that they have a special heater that gets their water to just the right temperature for the most infusion of the tea leaves. They even have a special tea blend made for them by Harvey and Sons which they served to us, and was quite delicious! The food was also fabulous. I'm not a chicken soup fan, but I could not get enough of the wonderful chicken and wild rice soup they served. I loved their very traditional cucumber and dill sandwiches as well as their chicken salad sandwiches. Their scones, however, deserve special mention. I've never had scones that are so melt-in-your-mouth delicious before! Their consistency and flavor were perfect, and the combination with the clotted cream and lemon curd were to die for. I wish I lived in Florida so I could keep going back for more! The pastry chef, who is a very lovely woman, even came out to check to see how we liked everything. To top it all off, the decor was SO interesting! Every room has a theme, still sticking with the Victorian style, and you can spend hours there just looking at all the different china and other decorations they have in each room! I'd love to go back there again, and have told my family about it in case they visit Tampa in the future!

My family threw a bridal shower for me at the Victorian Grace Tearoom. It was the most wonderful shower a girl could have! One could get lost in the decor. We decided to all wear Victorian hats for the tea party and the owners of the tearoom even let us borrow some of their authentic Victorian hats for the event. The chicken and wild rice soup was delicious and I really liked the spinach and artichoke mini quiches. But the scones were to die for. I'm used to scones usually being dry and hard but these were so moist. Their most gracious pastry chef came out to greet me and told me that she made these unique pink petit fours especially for my shower. This made me feel quite special. The warm tea kept coming and not once did we have to serve our own tea. Such personal service! My girlfriends and the ladies in my family had a wonderful time. I will definitely be coming back. My maid of honor even bought me a beautiful teacup and saucer from the tearoom so that I would have something to remember this wonderful bridal shower/tea party.

I visited Victorian Grace Tea Room on Wednesday 1/7/09 also, and I can't believe the horrid review that was written. I know for a fact that the desserts, scones, etc are made fresh on site. They even have a pastry chef!! As for a three tiered tray, well tea for one would look lost on that, therefore if you are having tea for 1 it's served on a lovely pedestal cake plate. The food is incredible. We couldn't finish all of the desserts so we took them home and had them for a late afternoon snack and they were marvelous, the cookies were so light they just melted in our mouths. Caroline does a wonderful job with the desserts! And Joy the manager is such a dear and very attentive. We were in the room with the woman who wrote the other review and I know for a fact that she was asked several times if she needed anything and if everything was ok...she always nodded. She was there with an adorable little girl, so much attention was paid to her. As for me and my sisters we will be coming back soon! Thank you for being the best little tea room in Florida!!

I go to tea rooms regularly and have gone to all of them in the Tampa area (and some in St. Pete) and Victorian Grace Tea Room is the BEST! They have the absolute best scones I have ever had anywhere. I also try different tea rooms when I go on vacation and was lucky enough to attend high tea at the Empress Hotel in Victoria and the scones here even beat those at the Empress. Unlike some tea rooms, they will allow you to choose your own tea if you don't like what is being served. They also aren't too restrictive if you want to have high tea at a different time other than 11, 1 or 3. I also like that they serve a nice salad if you don’t want the High Tea. The staff is also very nice and along with the atmosphere makes it a great, relaxing experience. I am counting the days until my next visit!

Food is adequate. Tea is delicious. Owner is not professional. I arranged a Tea for my church ladies group and mistakenly gave a count of 9 instead of 8. I was charged for all 9 people, even though I admitted my mistake to the owner. The owner insisted that she provided tea and treats for 9. She only provided soup & tea for 7 and I fully intended to pay for all 8 how RSVP'd. I've never been to a tea room where additional food was not served upon request, so finger sandwiches and desserts for 9 do not make up for charging extra. This was my 3rd trip to this tea room and my last.

Exceptional Tea Room. I have been to others in my home town of Brandon, and by far Victorian Grace has the best scones and the best variety of tea by far. I visit at least once a week!

For years I passed Victoria Grace, I never thought to stop by until a friend dragged me in the door. We admired the decor and was immediately escorted into the main room where Joy brought us my first scone and my first experience of devonshire cream. The scones were so great, I had dreams of them in my sleep... We have made this a weekly excursion ever since. The service is fast, friendly, and Joy makes you feel like one of the girls. Really nice place for those mid afternoon crisis breaks.

This tea room is one of the most beautiful and cozy places in Brandon. It is a true get away among this busy and often stressful world we live in. Joy is very friendly and more than happy to accommodate you. The food is delicious and the Scones are to die for. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a afternoon getaway.

A+++++ This is my second time visiting the Victorian Grace tearoom and my experience this time was even better than I remembered. The newly decorated interior was charming and elegant. The hostess was wonderful and made our group feel at home. Being from NYC and having frequented many tearooms there, never have I experienced such personal service and warmth. The scones were moist and delicious. I had a chicken and wild rice soup which was to die for. I wholeheartedly recommended this tearoom to anyone who appreciates the finer things in life!

I went with two girlfriends on 8/9/09. The little pink building didn't look like much on the outside but the inside was absolutely charming. We sat in the main room but they also have adorable private rooms on a first come/first serve basis. We started with a delicious potato soup and a fruity tea. We weren't asked what kind of tea we wanted but it didn't really matter, we all loved it. I later requested decaf and she brought out another beautiful pot brewed just for me. The three tiered tray of goodies was beautifully presented and the food delicious. My absolute favorite (and my girlfriend's too) was the blueberry and white chocolate chip scone with Devonshire cream. It was warm and the chocolate gooey. Just perfect. Our hostess and part owner's name I believe was Loretta and she was very gracious. Being 8 months pregnant, I was hot and she had a fan set up for me. I would definitely recommend this tea house and plan on coming back with my little girl. PS even the ladies room is set up like a Victorian Powder room!

Our family of 5 visited the Tearoom for the first time. Upon entering the elegance and the ambiance was breathtaking. The decor was a true reflection of the Victorian era. We enjoyed the never ending supply of the delicious tea served with such finesse. We loved the presentation of the meal. Starting with the soup, it was delicious. The scones melted in your mouth. Everyone who loves either a relaxing time alone or with friends has to visit Victorian Grace Teahouse. Truly a wonderful experience!

A MUST VISIT FOR EVERYONE!!!!!! A++++ If you are a fan of tea rooms or are just curious and want to find a great tea room and not be disappointed, this is the place to stop in to for the afternoon!!!!! I visited Victorian Grace about a week ago. It was my first visit. I wanted to express to everyone that it was an incredibly wonderful experience for me. Your place is so elegant, warm and inviting. It was clear to me that the tea room is run by people who have taken the time to carefully make this place a wonderful experience for everyone who visits. They care about their customers. Their careful thought and passion for what they believe in and for what they want EVERYONE to experience was very evident to me. Everyone was very warm, courteous and friendly. The teas and food are just absolutely incredible!!!! You are getting five star quality! Everything was delicious and fresh!!!! I recommend to anyone who wants to really find a good tea room to come to this place. You will be glad you did. I came all the way from Toronto, Canada and the one thing I do know is that the next time I am back in Florida, I will be stopping in for another afternoon tea and brunch!

I recently returned to Victorian Grace,as usal it was delightful. I was disappointed to hear Grace Cox was no longer there. I feel Grace was the heart and ambiance of the tea room. She made you feel you really were somewhere special. I also miss her chicken salad. When she came to your table you felt like she was there, with out a blue tooth in her ear. She brought tea to Brandon she will be missed

My boyfriend and I are frequent visitors to VG. I look forward to picking up my lunch or going there during the work week. The scones are out of this world (and no, they don't share the recipes - 'top secret' as I was told). There's been some personnel changes and an increase in staff, or so it seems. I was informed that Grace Cox no longer works there. While a few reviewers didn't think very highly of her hostess skills, I found over time that she warmed up to regulars and I now miss her. And for some reason, the scones don't taste quite the same since she left. If you want good chicken salad croissant sandwiches and tasty scones, come to VG. Oh, a little secret - their potato salad is the red variety from Publix. Southern Red or something with 'red' in the title.

This is by far the best tea room experience I have has thus far, the tea is always just right never bitter and the scones very light and fluffy. I have also taken people there for their first time at a tea room and they always enjoy it. I went again today and had to post a review. the decor is great, nice lighting and a quiet atmosphere. The food is served on a three tired server with a tiny vase of flowers on top very pretty. The floral and pink theme is carried through out the whole tea room.Try this tearoom for a pleasant and enjoyable tea time you will not leave hungry.

Of all the tea rooms I've been to, Victorian Grace ranks among the best. There was an extensive variety of teas offered. The selection and quality of food offered were impressive. The scones and chicken salad sandwich especially appealed to my taste buds. My last trip was even better than the previous. The one negative about the previous trip was that a server was not very polite. However it is apparent that she is no longer working there. I am a definite fan of Victorian Grace, and will be dropping by next time I'm in town.

I took my Mother to this wonderful little tearoom on my second visit. The rooms are all quaintly decorated and even contain beautiful tea sets, teas and bits and baubles of all sorts that you can purchase. After being seated tea was soon brought and then we had a delicious pumpkin soup followed by a lovely assortment of sandwiches, scones and pastries. The scones just melt in your mouth!! They are definitely my favorite!! The servers are not intrusive but checked occasionally to see if there was anything else they could do. There is soft music playing and generally a lovely ambiance. I hope to soon bring some of my girlfriends for a lovely genteel tea party.

This is the tea room we usually go to, because the scones are delicious. If only they treated their customers nicer. Almost every time we've gone, our server (same one, you all know her I'm sure) has not been very friendly. I agree with the reviewers that said they thought the server was 'put out' by having to serve them. There is now a new tea room in Valrico with fantastic scones, so I don't feel like I have to put up with the attitude at V Grace!!

Unfortunately, my experience mirrors the two reviewers in late October. I have called several times to schedule a bridal shower and not only have my calls gone unreturned, but also the shop has been closed for 'inventory', or 'illness'. No information has been offered about price and accommodations. We've wasted a lot of preparation time waiting for a return confirmation call. We had our hearts set on this location, and we are disappointed that we're forced to make other arrangements because of poor management. I don't want to risk finding the shop closed on our party day.

We recently had a very large family reunion and as a special treat - we hosted a tea party for about 35 ladies. Grace allowed us to arrive a few minutes early and place our family cookbook and favors at the tables before everyone arrived. We had the most wonderful tea. The trays were absolutely beautiful and the Chicken Salad Croissants are the best. We all had a wonderful time and everyone was made to feel very special by our very pleasant and attentive servers. My red hat chapter attended a Tea in November. We always have lots of fun and this day had a 'special' presentation to make. The hostesses at Victorian Grace were very gracious and for our comfort and that of other guests in our area, they were very descreetly moved to another area. No one seemed to mind. We were treated royally and I would go back.

My aunt and I enjoy visiting tea rooms. On our first visit, we found Victorian Grace to be quaint with a tasty fare and affordable price. The tea offered was 'Paris'. We were questioned about reservations eventho we had been told on the phone just an hour prior that reservations were not necessary. When I found myself needing a venue for a baby shower with thirty ladies, I booked the whole room. I asked if I could bring flowers, etc and was told that 'most guests feel we do an excellent job decorating.' No extra decorations were provided and the one owner was rude to most of my guests. The gift shop and bathroom were now dingy and dusty. We did receive good food at a fair price and the tea offered was Paris. The service was haphazard. On a third (and our last) visit, (after spending $500 on the shower) the one owner was again very rude as she explained reservations WERE required for tea. We did stay for lunch, which means no scones nor dessert. The tea was Paris.

My mother-in-law took me to tea here, as she knows how much I enjoy tea rooms. We had a very nice lunch. The loose tea was prepared very nicely. When we finished our first pot, we requested another type of tea and were gladly accommodated. The food was good, the scones were warm out of the oven and delicious. The desserts were very good as well. The decor was nice, but a little run down in my opinion. My mother-in-law, however, didn't agree and was very happy with the decor. I thought it could be 'fancied up' a bit. I probably won't go back, as there are others in the area I prefer more.

My niece and I had a bridal shower for her daughter. My niece was told she could come in at 2:45 and put a few extra things on the tables for the guests. The owners were rude and told her she was in the way. When I came in with Flowers for the table she told me to leave. No one was to enter the room until 3 pm. By the time we were all seated, they were already putting the food on the tables and we had to ask one of the servers to tell us what was on the trays. At my table only one pot of tea was served and no one asked if we needed more. On top of that the ladies room was not working and we had to use the men's room. The servers were rude and starting taking the food off the tables before we were ready togo. they brought our to go boxes and told every one to put the left overs in those. They also told my niece that EVERYONE HAD TO BE OUT AT 5 AND PUSHED EVERYONE OUT THE DOOR. One of the guests asked for a glass of water because she had a coughing spell and was told she would have to wait while the server cleared the table. I would like you to know that I paid $348 for this kind of service. We will NEVER GO BACK AGAIN.
