This was the worse tea room that I've ever been. The chicken salad was absolutely horrible. The service was also poor

The hot soup was cold, the food did not come all at once, the breads were stale, deserts mediocre and owner was rude. The waitress was sweet but overworked. All 8 people in my party said they would not recomend.

We are so sorry that you had a less than perfect experience. It would have been nice if your party would have let us know at the time of your visit so we could make it right. Please give us a second chance to do better!

We didi not know that taking tea could be such a excellent sensory experience! A beautiful Tea Room, great food, great service, delicious teas, and wonderful music (old standards - ie. Frank Sinatra) The home and garden shop is great too filled with lots of very unique goodies you just don't see everywhere. A lovely experience - we will return.

What a great find! Have you visited Feathernesters yet?
Nicely decorated Tea Room with wonderful food and delicious loose leaf teas. The waitstaff is quite good and friendly. A great place to meet a friend or friends for lunch or afternoon tea. I would highly recomend them! Great shopping too! Make sure you have enough time to dine and shop...

Tea and more! What a charming place to enjoy a delicious lunch or relaxing tea with dessert. Service could not be better. Tony and Mark knock themselves out for their patrons! The decor is amazing, llke a fanciful tea room of days gone by with a pleasing flourish! This is where the angels would choose to have tea when they are around. Tempting gifts, too. Great for young or young-at-heart! Excellent in all areas!

I visit tea rooms all over the country. Feathernesters is cozy, vintage, delightfully decorated and the garden shop is lovely. The food is good - but if they want to perfect the tea room, add old fashioned raisin scones to the menu (cream tea) as a regular item and this could be potentially the best tea room in Richmond. Also add tea warmers to keep the tea hot. These little extras go a long way to enhance the tea experience. But I'll visit again soon. I just purchased a beautiful Spring wreath and I bought a rustic fountain last year which I love. Add the SCONES!!! But anyone who visits this shop will surely have a pleasant time.

When we visit our family in Richmond, we always make a stop at Feathernesters. The atmosphere is overwhelming and the food is worth the trip. I have never had such a hard time deciding on a dessert from the large selection of desserts. The chicken salad croissants are my favorite along with a hot bowl of soup and a pot of tea. Those guys reallly know how to make you feel at home. I'll be back soon!

What a great find! We saw the Feathernesters Tea Room listed on TeaMap and had never heard of it. So, we went for lunch and tea. It was delightful! Food is fresh and delicious, well presented, and they offer many teas, bevearges and special desserts. We will be back again and again...

As a Richmond native and the tearoom experience so much a part of our upbringing, my siblings and I recently reunited 'back home' in Richmond for a family event. Feathernesters offered us wonderful hospitality with privacy, quiet and always-friendly and personal service. The teas were excellent and the food was so good, we ended up purchasing chicken saled and several desserts to take back with us! Thanks Feathernesters for taking such good care of us, we can't wait to 'come home' again.

Our family has simply fallen in love with this cute little place! I went to Feathernesters for a Baby Show Tea and found it to be charming! I also found out that they serve Brunch on Sundays! WONDERFUL! I have taken the family (and my friends) several times already - and will continue to go back! Everything is fresh and homemade and the shop is fun to browse around in too. HIGHLY RECOMENDED! The best part is that you feel like you are in someone's home as opposed to some huge restaurant. Love these guys!

Feathernesters is one of the BEST Tea Rooms we have ever visited in Virginia! My friends and I truly enjoyed the lunch food and the hot tea selections are great. We highly recomend their Feathernesters blend which is just perfect for the holidays - spicy and sweet! The service and selection is excellent.
Their retail store is very fun and well worth the visit too. We found unique gifts, home decor, and plenty of Christmas goodies!
We highly recomend this Tea Room. We drove over two hours to visit and would do it again in a heart beat!

Our group went to Feathernesters All Hallow's Tea (last Saturday) and ohhh what fun! Most everyone was in costume and we played some games and the guys gave out great prizes! The food was sheer delight and the tea excellent. Try their Feathernesters Blend - it's to die for! Now they sell it for take home too! The perfect place for tea and shopping -and FUN! Defintely Richmond's best!! We can't wait to see what they do for Christmas...

This is a lovely shop and tearoom. I met a friend here for lunch recently and enjoyed the 'Feathernester' from the luncheon menu. It was delicious. We were able to choose from a selection of items and each had the soup, quiche, salad, muffin, dessert and a drink. Very reasonably priced and very good. I would love to go back for tea, but that is offered at 3:00 and we were unable to work that into our schedules this time. A great place to visit over lunch.

Our entire family (8 of us!) really enjoyed Sunday Brunch at Feathernesters last Sunday. It was a very pleasant, de-stressing, way to spend a Sunday morning and the food was great! The 2 guys that own and run this place are so friendly and certainly no how to cook! There was a large buffet with a lot of choices including scumptious pumpkin pancakes, French toast, home fries, egg/cheese casserole, fresh fruit, mini cinnamon buns, baked apples and more. We aere surprised that they had so many 'kid friendly' items too!
The coffee was fresh and the tea was delicious, served in beautiful china teacups abd saucers. I like the way they serve individual teapots so everyone at the table can get different flavors. The 'Feathernesters Blend' is simply to die for and I asked the guys to PLEASE sell it for take home in the shop. We really enjoyed ourselves (even the men!) and will defintely be back again!
Also check out their VERY cute and chic shop full of gifts and decorating goodies. A Must See!!!

We scheduled our daughter's birthday party at Feathernesters on a Saturday afternoon and it was nothing short of a true delight! Their 'Darling Diva' Tea Party was perfect for this age group (7 - 8 year olds) as they got to make a craft, dress up in adorable hats, feathered boas, jewelry and gloves, then have a wonderful tea party geared just for them! The food was excellent and included pb&j and cheese finger sandwiches, chocolate chip scones, fresh fruit and more. The 12 girls especially appreciated the strawberry lemonade served in chintz china cups and saucers and the precious pink frosted cupcakes served on a special cupcake tree. The hostess was the best and the service could not be better. I could not recomend this establishment more if I wanted to - they truly made my daughter (and me!) feel very special!

A very lovely Tea Room experience was had at Feathernesters. Though they were very busy the day we visited, our party never felt rushed and the waitress took her time with us and was very friendly. Their homemade quiche was very yummy as was their signature Buttermilk Pie (we left with a whole one to go too!) My friend Barb loved the cinnamon swirl Tea Bread (shaped like little roses) and their 'Feathernester Blend' tea which was a perfect blend of spicy goodness! They carry aprox. 7 loose leaf teas as well as cold drinks and flavored coffees. A nice experience - and we loved browsing in their gift shop and at the other shops next door. I would highy recomend Feathernesters - I know we will go back again - especially during the upscoming holidays.

What a lovely find! A beautiful Tea Room married with a charming shop filled with home and garden decorative accessories and gifts! My sister and I thought we had died and gone to heaven! We enjoyed lunch at Feathernesters on a Thursday afternoon. The food was fresh and tasty (especially the homemade quiche and peach cobbler!) They offer several loose teas, but it was hot so we had iced raspberry iced tea and strawberry lemonade - yum! Their Buttermilk Pie was alaso to die for! It was fun shopping afterwards in the spacious shop. I would recomend this lovely shop. It is on Lakeside Ave not but a block or so from the Botanical Garden (a treat in itself!)
