Variety: We have consistently found Feathernesters to be a truly delightful Tea Room and grand shopping experience. Delicious food, gracious service, and beautiful surroundings combine for a class 'A' experience. We have enjoy lunch and Sunday Brunch with them many, many times. I also attended a lovely Baby Shower Tea there as well and it was one of the best shower experiences I have ever had, Highly recommended. |

Variety: I love visiting Feathernesters; I must say that one of my favorite things is the 'bird' chirping area. It sounds like I am going to another place; it is so neat! I also love the Quiche...yummy! |

Variety: A recent lunch with two of my best friends at Feathernesters was just perfect! The quiche was to die for as well as the fruit salad and buttermilk pie. This was truly heaven on a plate! Our waitress was kind, helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was beautiful - very 'vintagy' and just adorable. We spent almost an hour discovering all the goodies in the nooks and crannies - plus found some unique gifts. We have made this our new 'girls out' place to meet and treat ourselves. |

Variety: My best friend and I decided to meet for tea after reading posts here on this site. We called Feathernesters and made a reservation. In the meantime two other dear friends heard of our date and asked to join us. What a great time we had. We shopped in their very unique shop (I found the best French soap there I have ever seen!) and then enjoyed a wonderful tea. The food and tea were excellent. What a great way to spend an afternoon - dear friends and our new favorite Richmond spot! |

My best friend just moved back to the Richmond area and we met for a lovely afternoon tea at Feathernesters. She had never been there and enjoyed their offerings and the beautiful shop. We will return! |

Variety: My daughter's Bridal Shower Tea Party was so memorable and wonderful thanks to the nice folks at Feathernesters! They have a beautifully decorated Tea Room with china tea cups and saucers and individual teapots. Great loose tea selection and delicious finger sandwiches and scones. Nice presentation, good service, and a delightful overall experience. I would highly recommend them for tea. We loved the cute shop and spent nearly an hour just browsing their sweet selection of goodies... I only wish we had known about this cute shop before now! |

Variety: My mother and I tried this tea house today after not being able to get reservations at our favorite tea shop in Williamsburg. Although Feathernesters was actually booked solid for the afternoon tea, they said they were available for lunch. We decided to try it and absolutely loved it! The food was tremendous and the prices were great. Everyone in the shop was so pleasant and it made our lunch extra special. We definitely plan to go back one day for afternoon tea. We've finally found a wonderful tea room closer to home. |

Variety: We found Feathernesters to be the absolute perfect place on all levels. We had a perfect afternoon tea party with delicious homemade cranberry orange scones and delicious hot tea. The tea trays were beautiful and every detail was taken care of. Our waitress was knowledgeable and just the best. A great place to have tea and shop. |

Variety: The tea room was charming and the people were so warm and friendly! I really wanted to love it and might just be a little snobby. But I thought they did a poor job in accommodation my request for one vegetarian and one regular tea; I felt really left out and upset but it is what it is I guess. I was also unimpressed with the quality of the tea itself. But I am used to more traditional teas and so I think I might just be picky. |

Tearoom Response
Jessica: We are so sorry your were not happy with your experience. I checked with our chef and he informed me that he really tried hard to meet your requests. There were both vegetarian and 'regular' selections including cucumber sandwiches, pimento cheese sandwiches, scones, tea breads, fresh fruit and a variety of sweet items all of which were meat free. The only thing on the tray that was not vegetarian was the mini chicken salad sandwiches which were prepared for your non-vegetarian guest. Our teas are blended by Rostov's Tea here in Richmond a very reputable establishment who supplies coffees and teas to restaurants and tea rooms all across Virginia. Thank you for visiting - we hope you will come back again.

Variety: I love this place. Everyone was so nice and the decorations were beautiful. The food was delicious. My oldest daughter loved the egg salad and my little was a fan of the peanut butter and jelly. :-) I personally liked the broccoli cheddar soup and vegetable quiche. And best of all...the prices were very reasonable. We will not be a stranger to Feathernesters. |

Variety: I chose Feathernesters as the place to host my best friends Bridal Shower. I had been so impressed with their service and quality after attending a shower there myself. Their Tea Room is beautifully decorated and their attention to detail is great. They provided napkins and table favors that matched the bride's wedding colors. The food was delicious and simply lovely presented on flower covered tea trays. A special thank you to Steffi and Holly for excellent service! We would very highly recommend this Tea Room. |

Variety: Our family's Christmas season would not have been complete without the fine folks at Feathernesters. Six of us attended their Miller & Rhoads Santa Claus Tea Party. It was very classy, special and brought back so many wonderful memories! We were given beautiful photos from the event that we will always adore. My best friend and I went to their annual Cup of Christmas Tea Party. Not only was the Tea fantastic, but we really enjoyed the door prizes and Christmas bingo game - what fun! The store and Tea Room were beautifully decorated and just wonderful. Thank you Feathernesters for making our Holiday the best ever. |

Variety: Friends had told us about this tearoom and shop and we visited Thanksgiving weekend. They were very busy and we had to wait for a few minutes for a table but it was worth the wait. We enjoyed a homemade pumpkin soup with a garnish of cranberries and apples. The chicken salad on tomato basil bread was perfect and not to much mayonnaise - yummy! The warm fruit side dish was good as was the dreamy buttermilk pie which apparently is their speciality. It was so good that we took two pies home with us. We loved the shop too. I bought a small bedside table and some gifts and decorations that I had not seen anywhere else in the area. Our friends who were visiting from out of town said the trip was worth it just for this wonderful shop and tea room - and we do agree too. Wish they were open on Mondays. |

Variety: Our garden club had our Autumn outing at Feathernesters in October and it was delightful. We arrived at 3 pm for a wonderful Afternoon Tea. Beautiful botanical napkins were put out for us (thank you for the little details!) The hot teas (all loose) were delicious - especially the 'Feathernesters Tea' which they sell to make at home. Standouts were their cranberry orange scones, raspberry butter, tea roses, and pimento cheese sandwiches. We also enjoyed the homemade cookies and mini cheesecakes. We will be returning in December for another holiday tea. Thank you for a lovely afternoon! |
